Kings Will Bring Gifts

Greetings in the Lord!

Today's word comes from Psalm 68:28-33:
"Summon your power, O God; show us your strength, O God, as you have done before. Because of your temple at Jerusalem kings will bring you gifts. Rebuke the beast among the reeds, the herd of bulls among the calves of the nations. Humbled, may it bring bars of silver. Scatter the nations who delight in war. Envoys will come from Egypt; Cush will submit herself to God. Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth, sing praise to the Lord, to Him who rides the ancient skies above, who thunders with mighty voice."

~This word is a cry out to God to command His power to act, to show Himself mighty among His enemies by laying them low. In submission, His enemies will bring gifts to acknowledge God's glory; they will surrender to Him who protects His inheritance. I discern that we will see the Lord act on Israel's behalf as "envoys will come from Egypt"--most likely to offer troops as protection to patrol the border there in Gaza as they originally agreed to do. This is a season of retribution and deliverance for those that love the Lord. There is a big distinction made in this psalm between those that serve the Lord and those who make war against Him; woe to those nations that shake their fist at the Lord and war against Israel. Be prepared to see the Lord move in amazing ways as people and groups of peoples who have suffered injustices (watch in international news headlines) are paid back, set free, and blessed for all the trouble the enemies of the Lord have brought to them.

~Be blessed and be a blessing.
