The Fall of the Daughter of the Babylonians
Greetings in the Lord! This week I received Isaiah 47 from the Lord. It is a chapter that prophesies the fall of Babylon. While we know the original Babylon has long since fallen, and even others point to modern day struggles in Iraq, I discern the Lord is speaking about the spirit of Babylon that has been resting on the United States (and worldwide) in recent history. Likewise, when Isaiah makes reference to a "she" in the passage, I discern that to also include to a current "Daughter of the Babylonians," Hillary Clinton. "Now then, listen, you wanton creature, lounging in your security and saying to yourself, 'I am, and there is none besides me. I will never be a widow or suffer the loss of children.' Both of these will overtake you in a moment, on a single day: loss of children and widowhood. They will come upon you in full measure, in spite of your many sorceries and all of your potent spells.
