The Seas Have Lifted Up

Greetings in the Lord!

Today I have received many scriptures, which I discern, is about the new season we are entering. An early scripture I received was from Jeremiah 44, where disaster was prophesied against the unfaithful Jews living in Egypt. The chapter also includes a section about how the women in particular refused to give up their worship of the Queen of Heaven.

The next scripture was Ezekiel chapter 8, where Ezekiel is taken by the Spirit of the Lord to the temple to witness the destable practices of the Jewish people, including their leaders, by their secret idol worship in the temple of the Lord.

After that was Hosea chapter 4, especially verses 7-12: "The more the priests increased, the more they sinned against me; they exchanged their Glory for something disgraceful. They feed on the sins of my people and relish their wickedness. And it will be: Like people, like priests. I will punish both of them for their ways and repay them for their deeds. They will eat but not have enough; they will engage in prostitution but not increase, because they have deserted the Lord to give themselves to prositution, to old wine and new, which take away the understanding of my people. They consult a wooden idol and are answered by a stick of wood. A spirit of prostitution leads them astray; they are unfaithful to their God."

~I am discerning that we are entering a new season of more intense purification in the American church, and increased tribulation in America as a whole, because of our pervasive acceptance of idolatry; i.e. arrogance, greed, aggression, selfishness, and spiritual apathy. Expect to see: a growing heated national debate in "social" issues, such as abortion; another round of cleansing within the American church leadership, revealed misconducts and immorality and financial abuses; national buyouts of companies by foreign competitors and an increase in unemployment; and a climate of turbulent and hostile controversy amongst peoples; "They will become an object of cursing and horror, of condemnation and reproach"(Jer.44:12b).

The Lord had started off all these scriptural words with Psalm 93: " The Lord reigns, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and is armed with strength. The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved....The seas have lifted up, O Lord, the seas have lifted up their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves. Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea--the Lord on high is mighty. Your statutes stand firm; holiness adorns your house for endless days, O Lord."

~Even in the midst of troubled waters, the Lord reminds us that He is higher than the mighty waves, and His edicts are superior to the hostile opinions and voices around you. Do not be alarmed by the storm around you, for it is the Lord "who have created the destroyer to work havoc;" (Is. 54:16b).
~Be blessed and be a blessing.
