My Intercessor and My Friend

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word is from Job 16:19-21: "Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high. My intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God; on behalf of a man he pleads with God as a man pleads for his friend." ~I love those verses so much. How awesome it is that Job, which most scholars agree was the first book of the Bible to be written, told us of such an intimate relationship we could have with Jesus, as "intercessor" and "friend." That even in our darkest moments He is there to comfort and to be our "witness" to God the Father that we are indeed His child, known and loved. The verses tell of no promises that our current circumstances will change; instead, Job is resigned to the fact that he would probably die before he was vindicated in front of his friends who were falsely accusing him of unrighteousness. Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from 2 Kings 23:8-25~ "Josiah brought all the priests from the towns of Judah and desecrated the high places, from Geba to Beersheba, where the priests had burned incense. He broke down the shrines at the gates...He desecrated Topheth, which was in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, so no one could use it to sacrifice his son or daughter in the fire to Molech. Be a Clump of Green Grass

Greetings in the Lord! On Easter I was bummed to have to stay home and get well--I was diagnosed with 'walking pneumonia' around that time. But the day was so beautiful that I just had to sneak out and take a walk in the hills surrounding our campus. On my trek I took pictures of newly sprouted blooms on the fruit trees, but noticed the colorful contrast with those blooms and the otherwise lifeless and brown landscape. Then I came upon something so odd that I stopped and studied it for awhile--it was a bright green clump of grass right in the middle of the worn path! It almost looked as if someone had cut out a circle of lawn turf and planted it there. It was odd too, how on an hour long walk I saw no other clumps of green grass anywhere, let alone in the middle of a pathway. Quickly recognizing it as a sign, I took out my camera and took pictures of the strange occurrence and pondered its meaning in my heart for a week. Go to the Inner Rooms and Pray Until Disaster has Swept By

Greetings in the Lord~ Over the past couple of weeks I've received warnings from the Lord to pray that "watchmen would return to their post," meaning, those prayerful believers whose role it is to pray and see danger before it comes and release an alarm to the Body of Christ.  Specifically, I felt led to pray for the Western Coast of America and as I prayed for God's protection to our border and for watchmen to see the danger coming, I had a vision.  In this vision, it was the dark of night and from the black waves below I saw a lighthouse on a jagged shoreline shining a beam of light over the waters to warn ships, and search out activity in the darkness below.  There were men--invaders, silently approaching the land, trying carefully to enter the shoreline unseen.  I felt that it was the Pacific Northwest of the United States, Portland/Seattle areas and that these invaders had taken the northern route from Russia to get here, although I'm...

Word for 2015--the Miraculous Saving Power of God

Greetings in the Lord! Most prophetic voices wait quietly at the end of each year to hear what the Lord is saying for the upcoming year, and I too, do that.  Sometimes, the word comes sooner or even later than I expect, but whatever the Lord is saying I prayerfully share as best I know how in the anointing He has given me to speak to His people.  Last year's word was difficult for me to publish, as it's never fun to announce the arrival of major adversities in the world, but alas, 2014 was the onset of the "year of the terrorists," just as the Holy Spirit said.  We will continue to see that kind of activity in the 2015 year ahead, but in the middle of it all, the Lord takes us to two passages to hold onto, for greater is He in us then he who is in the world.  We do not embrace or succumb to the spirit of fear, rather, we draw near to the love of our heavenly Father who has our best interests at heart always. I Spy with My Little Eye...

Greetings in the Lord! I want to share with you a dream and prophetic word the Lord gave me early this morning, as it expands on a comment He made to me last week regarding a young man I know. The dream was this: I was having dinner with 3 people, two older ones and the young man. I was listening as the two older ones were laughing and saying, "This young man has had more women around the world than most rock stars!" The young man was smiling and proud of himself, too. "Yeah, it's gross," I said, obviously showing my disapproval to the young man and two adults, who by the way, called themselves 'Christian'. "It's nothing more than a disease, a compulsion called Lust. It's disgusting how many young girls you've preyed upon and took advantage of," I said to the young man.
