Islands of Light

Greetings in the Lord!

Today's word comes from Luke 12:35-37, 45-46:
"Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like men waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. I tell you the truth, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them." V. 45-46) "But suppose the servant says to himself, 'My master is taking a long time in coming,' and he then begins to beat the menservants and maidservants and to eat and drink and get drunk. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers."

At the beginning of this week I told you the Lord had me speak words to prominent businessmen, city officials, and the like, of Manila. I even had the opportunity to pray personally for upcoming candidates, parents of current Councilmen, and close relatives of the Mayor of Manila. Then, yesterday I attended a prayer meeting for yet another church and they had on their agenda to pray for the city officials of Manila! I just smiled as they said to me, "You probably don't know any of these people, but..."

Then, this morning the Lord gave me a dream and a word about what His intentions were for the leadership of Manila. In the dream, I saw a painting of a tropical island; but the colors were bright reds and dark browns and seemed to make the island like a big, dark blotch. A tall man came up to the painting and started to wipe the canvas with a scraper. As he did so, the paint fell off and revealed a completely new painting. The island was now clear and light-colored, and in the sky of the painting was an airplane. The man passed his hand over the painting again and this time there was a huge lightening bolt painted on the canvas that was striking the airplane! While the striking of the airplane could be symbolic of the hand of God removing those city officials from power whose ways are corrupt, I discern it to be an actual falling of an aircraft as a sign that a "cleansing" and revival of the Philippines has begun, and this on all levels: governmental, in the business sector, in the churches, and societal. The goal was a much "clearer and light-colored" island to shine for the rest of Asia.

~Be blessed and be a blessing.
