Let Go and Lift Your Eyes

Greetings in the Lord!

Today's word comes from Genesis 13:14-17:
"The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, "Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you."

~Think for a moment: what are you holding on to that is causing strife and jealousy to spring up among you and others? Is it worth it? The Lord is promising you more than you ever hoped if you'd just let the other person have their desired plot of land...you'd get all the rest! That's a deal, right? You bet! As for me personally, the Lord is having me forgo pursuing a desired position at the university here and instead having me walk all around the university campus, reclaiming the land for Christ and praying for purity and restoration to come upon the campus/students here. The whole campus prayerfully claimed in Christ's name versus being called to minister to one department for a season. Yes, that's a deal! So, today I am asking you to join me in prayer as we call upon the Spirit to descend upon Ferris State University to touch and transform lives; to deliver the captives and open the eyes of their hearts to see Christ and to be drawn into His presence and relationship with Him. Lord, we pray that the students will begin to experience Your presence in a powerful way and have an opportunity to fall head over heels in love with You and to serve You with all their hearts. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
