Leaves Come Out Summer Is Near

Greetings in the Lord!

Today's word comes from Luke 2:25-32 and Mark 13:28-29:
"Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's Christ. Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, Simeon took him in his arms and praised God saying: "Sovereign Lord, as You have promised, You now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which You have prepared in the sight of all people, a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel." Luke 2:25-32

"When you see 'the abomination that causes desolation' standing where it (or he) does not belong--let the reader understand--then let those wo are in Judea flee to the mountains....Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door." Mark 13:14, 28-29

~These are important times, my friends. The Lord gives us these reminders today to live expectantly and purposefully. Notice too, how Simeon in the passage moved according to the Spirit to the temple to see the Christ--be sensitive to the guiding of the Spirit in your life. Also, please keep a watch on the "rebuilding" that will happen in Israel, and pray that the eyes of our heart will be open to see and understand the season we live in. Be blessed and be a blessing.
