Greetings in the Lord! From time to time the Lord will put a public person on my heart to pray for them, and on a few occasions He will give an accompanying dream or vision that sheds more light on why I would be praying for them.  I would like to share one such person, one of the few that I've had more than one vision of over the years. In the 2001-2002 time frame, I recall having a very vivid dream of Vladimir Putin.  In the dream I visited him in his large, dark wood office.  He was distressed about the state of affairs in Russia and what to do about them.  I talked to him at length about his faith in God and encouraged him that God was indeed watching over how he conducted himself, and "if you choose to do what is right, choosing what is just in God's eyes, God will protect and prosper you."   He was so moved by that prophetic promise that he got up from his leather chair and came around his great desk to kneel before me and ask tha...

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word come from James 3 and Psalms 57.  Put together it is a prophetic word about how worldly wisdom can act as a "sword" and a "spear" to bring about destruction instead of true wisdom. "Who is wise and understanding among you?  Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.  But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.  Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil.  For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and every evil practice."  James 3:13-16. Today's word comes from 2 Peter 3, Psalm 53 & Psalm 52.  The main theme from these passages of Scripture is about the foolish and arrogant unbelief of God by the wicked, who, because they don't recognize God's patience with them as His mercy and take advantage of the time to turn away from their evil deeds, they continue on to their own destruction.  Meanwhile, the righteous continue to pursue wholesome thinking, holy living, and reap the blessings of our Lord and Savior who hears and answers their petitions.  Amen "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'  They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good. Today's words come from 2 Samuel 8 and Isaiah 11.  You know, I never cease to be amazed at how the Holy Spirit will lead me to read two very different passages of Scripture to make a point about something, or to emphasize the importance of a word to me if I really didn't 'get it' the first time around! ha  Yeah, I'm like every other Christian that way, sometimes it takes me a while, too, to know what God is saying.  Anyway, 2 Samuel 8 is a great passage talking about all of the victories David had over his enemies--the Philistines, the Ammonites, the Arameans, the Moabites, the Edomites, the Amalekites, and more that are not even mentioned in this chapter, like all of his own personal enemies--the house of Saul and his associates.  David had spent the better part of his young through adult life in battle against enemies and now the Bible talks about victory; subduing his enemies, taking plunde...

Last night I was reading and turned to Ezra chapters 4-6.  Those are some interesting chapters because they are governmental letters written during that time, one between the officials of the Trans-Euphrates to King Artaxerxes, the Persian king, and his reply; and one from Tattenai, a later governor of the Trans-Euphrates region to King Darius, and his reply.  Both letters concern the rebuilding of the temple and city of Jerusalem. You see, previously, King Cyrus had decreed that Jerusalem's temple and city be rebuilt, complete with the return of the temple's equipment from Babylon and building materials to be provided for the completion of the work.  But of course, Israel's neighbors opposed the rebuilding process and over time wickedly persuaded King Artaxerxes to stop the construction.  It wasn't until the reign of King Darius that officials were able to reverse that decision by exposi...

Happy Easter everyone! Christ the Lord was risen today, hallelujah!  We serve a living Savior, who sits at the right hand of God the Father, who sent the Holy Spirit to fill us, lead us and guide us.  Amen. The blessings of following this living Savior will never end for the believer of His words.  As Psalm 112 reminds us: Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in His commands. Well, there has been a lot of teaching among evangelical and prophetic circles in the American Church about the significance of the four blood moons coinciding with the Jewish festivals.  Historically, there have been major events involving Israel during this time (you can learn more by watching or reading what John Hagee and others are teaching on YouTube or in their books), but I will only share what the Lord has shown me. Greetings in the Lord! The Lord has been taking me to this passage of Scripture quite a bit over the past three months, and it comes up again today.  It is from John 6:28-29, and 32-40. Then they asked Jesus, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one He has sent." Wow--so simple, yet that is a very deep work.  To believe in Jesus is to have eternal life in Him.  To believe in Jesus is to follow His commands, and to walk in love.  To believe in Jesus is to turn to Him for all things, because He alone can meet all our needs.  That is why Jesus is referred to as the Bread of Life---He is provision, our daily sustenance.  In Him we will never hunger for the temporal things of this world, or thirst for sweet lies of the devil, for his drink and food is deceptive and leads to death.  Jesus is the Life and Light of this world. With another shooting on a military base, news headlines are re-examining the prevalence of Post Traumatic Shock Disorder (PTSD) among our military service people returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, in particular.  While certainly theirs is a stressful job and combat can leave deep emotional scars, I would like to examine this issue from another perspective--from a spiritual viewpoint. We know the Bible teaches that we consist of a body, mind, and spirit , yet so often we do not fully take that into consideration as we go about our modern lives.  As life unfolds and events and experiences take place, we often overlook how the spirit realm interacts and affects our more familiar parts, body and mind.  We simply see a doctor for pain, a therapist for emotional wounding, and go about with life coping the best we can.  But I'd like you to consider the spiritual side. Just before waking up this morning I saw a vision of a large (size of a very fat cat), putrid green frog sitting next to my bed.  It just sat there, looking at me with its mouth completely wide open, exposing its sharp black teeth to me.  In my vision, I called for help in catching this huge frog.  As two people came to round it up, the frog jumped back and forth to elude them, then jumped out of my vision. As a sat up in my bed thinking, "What on earth was that?" Today's word is from Psalm 112.  The message to us is simple--we will be blessed when we choose to love the Lord, live a righteous life, and pursue justice.  God loves justice and righteousness, and we can't please the Lord without having an active faith in Him. Psalm 112 tells us that when we live an upright life, generous to all in need and honest in our dealings with people, we can expect an unforgettable legacy, honor and provision, security, and courage. Greetings in the Lord! It seems there have been lots of words lately about nations and leaders.  I discern that for the truly corrupt ones, the Lord is putting a date on His calendar for their removal and for the setting free of their captives, the weak and the needy whom they should have been protecting.  I am fully expecting to see amazing things in this regard in the not so distant future.  While living in Syria, there was one verse and word that the Lord had me share with a teammate of mine.  She was a Muslim, but the Lord had gifted her with wisdom and discernment of dreams and visions.  I told her about the vision I had of a great fire from heaven coming down to completely destroy the land of Syria.  She actually discerned the current trouble for Syria before I had fully understood the vision!  But the word to her was also very important.  It came from Matthew 6:22-23: "The eye is the lamp of the body.  If your eyes are...

Greetings in the Lord! It's amazing to see how many riots and violent protests are happening all around the world right now.  In Venezuela, Ukraine, Thailand, even in France--over the potential building of an airport, of all things.  And as I was reading about these and other events, I also was curious to compare what various news outlets had to say about the happenings.  Most news sources give the same major details, but usually from slightly different viewpoints with varying degrees of elaboration.  However, there are a growing number of conspiracy theorists out there.  They never fail to offer really "interesting" twists and bits of information, but it always seems like I'm entering a fog when I hear what they have to say.  It makes me nervous (fearful) in my spirit, really, and so I naturally will back away and hear what the Lord has to say about them and all the major news events going on these days.  H...

Today's word comes from 2 Samuel 6 and Daniel 5.  Both stories are a reminder for us to have reverence for the Lord Almighty.  For though God is patient and merciful, He is also Sovereign over all and is to be revered and honored.  The Lord plays no favorites either--His judgments can break out against believers and non-believers alike, as the passages will show.  The stories go like this. First, in Samuel 6 we read about King David wanting to bring the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem.  He loaded it onto a cart like the Philistines had it, and began to make their way to Jerusalem.  Well, he was wrong already.  The Lord had prescribed how the Ark was to be moved, on the shoulders of Levites--not on some cart pulled by oxen.  Well, when the oxen stumbled, the Ark slid and a man familiar with the Ark (it had been kept in his family's tent) reached out to steady it.  His touch was forbidden by...

We have much to thank God for today--3 words of deliverance!  The first comes from Isaiah 37--a passage about Jerusalem being surrounded by the Assyrian army.  At that time the Assyrians were on a successful violent conquest, overtaking the lands around them in their fierce and cruel manner.  As they encamped around Jerusalem, the Assyrian messenger came to boast of their campaign, taunting and ridiculing the Israelites and telling them not to trust in their God, but to give up easily. King Hezekiah sought the counsel of the Lord through Isaiah the prophet, and the word was given. Greetings in the Lord! This morning I awoke from a dream that I discern is a warning dream.  It went like this. A woman who looked like Margret Thatcher arrived in a large city that seemed to be Moscow.  Her straw-like blond hair shown brightly in contrast to the dim, wintry afternoon.  Though it was perfectly coiffed, it gave hint of her mean, deceptive, inner thoughts.  Her stylish grey-white trench coat emanated importance and a strong, foul presence.  The planner of trouble and death had arrived.  She rejoiced at all the regal, red brick buildings that surrounded her, as they seemed to confirm her will to dominate, her assumed nobility and right to power and status.  With a big, smug smile she inhaled deeply the unfriendly, freezing air.  "I like it here," she said with a seductive drawl to her male assistants who were wearing all black.  "That's ...
