God's Eye Balm to See Clearly
Greetings in the Lord!
It seems there have been lots of words lately about nations and leaders. I discern that for the truly corrupt ones, the Lord is putting a date on His calendar for their removal and for the setting free of their captives, the weak and the needy whom they should have been protecting. I am fully expecting to see amazing things in this regard in the not so distant future.
While living in Syria, there was one verse and word that the Lord had me share with a teammate of mine. She was a Muslim, but the Lord had gifted her with wisdom and discernment of dreams and visions. I told her about the vision I had of a great fire from heaven coming down to completely destroy the land of Syria. She actually discerned the current trouble for Syria before I had fully understood the vision! But the word to her was also very important. It came from Matthew 6:22-23:
"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness."
It took me one year to have full understanding of that passage, but her knowing was quick. "If your eyes are bad, then you don't want to see things the way they really are. You only see what you want to see." And I found that to be able to really enjoy living in Syria, even though I had met some very nice people, one would have to let your eyes go bad to accept the extreme envy, hate rhetoric and lies that prompted the rampant injustices there. Lying and cruelty then became as easy as drinking water.
But today's word is for the corrupt leadership, there and elsewhere, whose wicked family lines have come to power to sow these evil seeds of corruption and suffering into the populace they were supposed to govern with justice. Their eyes truly are bad--not able to see any light and are full of darkness themselves. There is a sense of superiority over the masses, a "god" complex, and they rule with violence, deception, and greed as their foundation. Hear the word of the Lord:
"They know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High.' But you will die like mere men; you will fall like every other ruler."
Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are Your inheritance. Psalm 82:5-8.
~I pray that the Lord would open the eyes of the people in Syria, North Korea, and elsewhere, where corrupt leadership have planted wicked seeds and made bad the eyes of the nation. I pray that the Lord would apply His healing balm to their eyes so that they would see the Son in all His glory and be drawn to Him. Lord, let Your strong hand move powerfully in the leadership of these countries so that Your good and perfect will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
