Wonderful "Wonder" Bread

Greetings in the Lord!


The Lord has been taking me to this passage of Scripture quite a bit over the past three months, and it comes up again today.  It is from John 6:28-29, and 32-40.


Then they asked Jesus, "What must we do to do the works God requires?"
Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one He has sent."


Wow--so simple, yet that is a very deep work.  To believe in Jesus is to have eternal life in Him.  To believe in Jesus is to follow His commands, and to walk in love.  To believe in Jesus is to turn to Him for all things, because He alone can meet all our needs.  That is why Jesus is referred to as the Bread of Life---He is provision, our daily sustenance.  In Him we will never hunger for the temporal things of this world, or thirst for sweet lies of the devil, for his drink and food is deceptive and leads to death.  Jesus is the Life and Light of this world.


"For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."
"Sir, they said, "from now on give us this bread."


Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life.  He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.  But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe.  All those that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 


For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of Him who sent me.  And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that He has given me, but raise them up at the last day.  For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."      


There are so very, very few guarantees in life, that Jesus is one worth holding on to.  Eternal life with Jesus in heaven, guaranteed, is some wonderful bread indeed!

Like a Soaring Eagle, a Bird of Prey

Greetings in the Lord! This morning I had a dream where I was being shown all different types of drones--the unmanned flying aircraft popular these days with the Obama administration.  The man showing me these drones pointed out the varied weaponry on each, which included all types of guns and rocket launchers and telescopic lenses with tracking devices, and gave me a short briefing of each one's detailed purpose.  I was amazed that there was such a variety; each for a specific assignment.  Some of the drones had other technology as well, but mostly these were for attack, locating targets, and intercepting communications.  In short, they were very expensive model airplanes used for surveillance and offensive military assignments.  Well, after a vivid dream I usually Google online and see what's happening in the news, as most often it is related.  Sure enough, I came across this article today: http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/drones-american-skies-airliners/2013/11/08/id/5

Set Free From the Trap

Greetings in the Lord~ Today's prophetic word comes from Psalm 79, complete with accompanying dream.  It is a pretty intense psalm that uses very dramatic language to express the desperate cry of the people of God to the Lord for His saving grace and power, and ultimately, to rescue those in great need.  And it is the second psalm of petition and deliverance I've received on behalf of someone in the entertainment industry, for it is that time of year... "O God, pagan nations have conquered Your land, Your special possession.  They have defiled Your holy Temple and made Jerusalem a heap of ruins.  They have left the bodies of Your servants as food for the birds of heaven.  The flesh of Your godly ones has become food for the wild animals....We are mocked by our neighbors, an object of scorn and derision to those around us.  O Lord, how long will You be angry with us?" A Tsunami of Truth and Justice

  Greetings in the Lord~ Today's word comes from Psalm 31, and there are a couple of visions I will share as well. First, Psalm 31 is one that I don't get very often, probably because most of us don't find ourselves in this type of situation very often, if at all.  It is one in which the psalmist is crying out in deep distress and anguish to the Lord, even feeling like he is wasting away physically and emotionally all because of a great unjust conspiracy against him, a conspiracy so powerful and pervasive that everyone is running away from him, so it seems to the psalmist.  It is a lament of helplessness and abandonment that arises from the extreme wickedness of his foes, and distancing of those who were allies but now have retreated in self-preservation mode.  So while in immense distress, the psalmist resigns himself, even his very fate, to God alone and puts all his trust in the Lord to save him.  Complete surrender, like fasting and repentance, is a sure way to get God&

Sow the Wind, Reap the Whirlwind

Greetings in the Lord, Today's prophetic word comes from Hosea 7 and Jeremiah 28. Taken together these chapters are talking about people who proclaim peace, support, and encouragement for the people of the land and the rulers they serve. However, in Hosea 7, they are deliberately trying to deceive the ruler with their flattery and give a show of support falsely. In reality, they're plotting against the ruler and those that support him and have made alliances with the king's other enemies in order to take him down. However, they do not know the will of God, nor do they accept that this ruler has been placed there by God himself. As surely as they mock and scoff and lie, the Lord who sees all will bring them to ruin and cover them with shame and ridicule. Even more, they do not realize that their plots are really against God Himself, for He directs the course of the ruler and has placed him in his position. Last Warning Call Being Blown

Greetings in the Lord~ Well, today's prophetic word comes from Jeremiah 6, and it is one of those that always give prophetic speakers a bad reputation, mainly because it is a word of warning.  But Jeremiah 6 is not just any warning, but it is their last warning.  In this 6th chapter from Jeremiah, we read about an army coming from the north to destroy Jerusalem because of the unrepentant sins of the highest to the common in the land.  They simply do not want to follow God's ways anymore.  But even in this warning of incoming trouble, the people refuse to listen.  They want to go their own way and close their ears to the warnings of the prophets; in fact, they scorn the word of the Lord.  Like Sinatra, they boldly and foolishly sing, "My Way!"  So now, the prophet decrees the fury of the Lord without hesitation or compassion.  He simply calls out all of those in power who could help the country and the people, but who instead lie to them and say, "Peace, peace!&qu

Prophetic Word for Iceland

Greetings in the Lord! Yesterday the Lord put on my heart that within a matter of weeks I was to go to Iceland and prophesy there. Here is the prophetic word for the nation of Iceland I received today: "It's the dawn of a new age in Iceland! Look, over the mountains--a bright Light shines. Feel His warmth stirring and melting your hearts. Truth shall reign in the north! The Lord comes riding on His white horse to spear the red dragon, setting the captives free!
