Be Free in the Risen Lord

Greetings in the Lord!

Heading into the Easter holiday weekend the Lord gives us a word today from Matthew 27:57-28:20 (paraphrasing): Even though the body of Jesus is kept guarded by Roman guards at the request of the jealous Jewish leaders (to make sure his body stays in the defiled tomb), He has risen from the grave! The Lord tells us today that the Spirit of Christ in you cannot be chained or held down any longer by the cursed words of others. If anyone has spoken ungodly words over your life---be free in the name of our risen Savior, Jesus Christ!

Be blessed this Easter holdiay and be a blessing to others~

Greetings in the Lord! "Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. Greetings in Christ! Today's scripture comes from 1 Corinthians 3:3-4:21, but because that is such a long passage, I will highlight some verses from that and will hope that some of you can study the whole passage on your own, as it is a good read and timely message. 3:10-15) "By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. Freeing the Captives

Greetings in the Lord! On Friday night I joined an outreach team at the St. Louis Dream Center to go to the inner city neighborhoods of St. Louis for street evangelism. I don't mind telling you that I was a bit nervous--St. Louis has received top billing as the most dangerous city in the US. The words the Lord gave me were not much comfort either. The first word, based on Ezekiel 22, talks about Israel's rampant violence, immorality and idolatry and the Lord rising to deal with them. "Then the word of the Lord came to me: "Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to me; all of them are the copper, tin, iron and lead left inside a furnace. They are but the dross of silver. Witch of Endor Be Revealed and Rendered Powerless

  Greetings in the Lord~ Well, Trump's in office and the predicted fireworks show has been non-stop. At first, it seemed a bit dramatic, like he was taking on issues that were out in left field and picking unnecessary fights with countries that are not typically in the U.S. news cycle.  It was a little hard to follow his thinking....at first.  But as most things Trump-related, the truth of a matter reveals itself in short time, thus prompting the current adage of: "Trump was right."  But this latest dispute he had with the president of Ukraine seems a bit different to me.   On the surface, it was dealing with a subject that has gotten a lot of press and dollars from the U.S.--the war in the Ukraine.  However, as I watched the early clips of their much publicized spat, I heard in my spirit: "The witch of Endor," over and over.  Hmmm, this is referring to the passage in 1 Samuel 28.  The prophet Samuel has just died and King Saul finds himself ...

2011 Stuck in the Middle with God

Greetings in the Lord! Wow--I can hardly believe how much time has gone by since I've written last! Happy 2011! We just celebrated the Lunar New Year in South Korea and I finally have a minute to share the words the Lord has been putting on my heart. The brief hiatus was more than eventful for me, I must say, as it included the passing of my mother in December, plus all the usual bustling of the holidays and international travel, then a race to the finish of my teaching contract in January. Whew! So, in chronological order I'll start with the passing of my mother, which as it turned out, had the gentle and loving hand of God on it from start to finish. In March of 2010 the Lord told me that it was time for my mother to come home to Him, and "to proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed."
