Happy Thanksgiving

Greetings in the Lord!
Well, I wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! This is one of my favorite holidays of the year, and not just for the delicious meal! But seriously, I do enjoy taking a minute to share a special meal with loved ones and think about just how thankful I am for the many blessings the Lord bestows on us. We serve a great and generous God who never fails to provide for us--even more than we ask for. Praise Him!

May He continue to abundantly pour Himself into your lives until your every word, deed, and thought resonates and reflects the love of God.

Commercial Giant About to Fall

  Greetings in the Lord~ Today's prophetic word comes from Ezekiel 27 & 28, with both chapters basically decreeing a word of judgment against the city and ruler of Tyre, and indirectly, the demonic spirit that has been influencing and working through Tyre's ruler behind the scenes.   It opens with a beautiful allegory of the city of Tyre being like this amazing and formidable mercantile ship, crewed with the most skilled mariners and filled with a spectrum of cargo to ship all throughout the furthest reaches of that time.  Tyre was the spectacular door to the commercial world, whose harbor drew the fineries of the whole land in and out to it's hungry clients, who couldn't wait to become rich in the trading or popular with showing off the luxuries they purchased.  But more than luxuries--everything passed through it's docks, from food, to riches, to cloth and even people!  Yes, even slaves were shipped all throughout the land from this port. Lord, Rise Up and Show Your Sovereignty

Greetings in the Lord~ Today in my prayer time, I received Psalm 83.  That psalm is like so many others, in that, the psalmist is crying out to the Lord for protection from their enemies.  However, this psalm is different in that it specifically talks about an evil alliance being made to come against God's people in a united front--a unanimous decision amongst the several different people groups / nations that poise themselves as enemies of God, to come against His people -- and Israel ultimately, to take their inheritance away from them and have it for themselves.  Well, the rest of Psalm 83 is a petition to God to rise up as in the days of Sisera and Jabin, to scatter this evil alliance, to disgrace them in such a way that it ends up being a testimony to God's Sovereignty. Obey the King

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Ecclesiastes 8:2-8.  It might be a little hard to relate to if you live in a nation that elects its officials and rulers and has set limitations for the length of their rule, or set terms in office, as today's passage discusses wisdom for relating to and living under a king.  However, once that person is in office, their rule does simulate a kingship in many ways, and so we can still learn from the wise sayings of these verses.  "Obey the king's command, I say, because you took an oath before God.  Do not be in a hurry to leave the king's presence. Do not stand up for a bad cause, for he will do whatever he pleases.  Since a king's word is supreme, who can say to him, 'What are you doing?'" Swept Away, by the Broom of God

Greetings in the Lord! The past several weeks I've been led to read from Isaiah chapter 14.  It is a hopeful message to those that love the Lord, that though they have been oppressed harshly by the "oppressor", God is turning the tables on the situation.  "The Lord will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and will settle them in their own land....Nations will take them and bring them to their own place." Isaiah 14:1-2. However, the majority of the chapter does not highlight the restoration and deliverance of Israel, but rather, talks about the "oppressor" and of their coming defeat.  "How the oppressor has come to an end!  How his fury has ended!  The Lord has broken the rod of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers, which in anger struck down peoples with unceasing blows, and in fury subdued nations with relentless aggression." Here am I--Send Me!

Greetings in the Lord! This morning in prayer I saw a vision of a giant United States flag blowing in the wind.  It was waving proudly, shame was being removed; it was being blessed by the nations again and spoken of with kindness.  And Americans began to feel happy to wear its colors, proudly lifting their heads as their hearts welled up in thankfulness to God for His many blessings on this country.  I saw people from all walks of life, skin color, and language start praising God for the United States. The Lord Has Stirred Hearts To Build

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Haggai 1:13-15: "Then Haggai, the Lord's messenger, gave this message of the Lord to the people: "I am with you," declares the Lord. So the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of the whole remnant of the people. They came and began to work on the house of the Lord Almighty, their God, on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month in the second year of King Darius." ~What project has the Lord stirred your heart to undertake? Know for sure that He says, "I am with you." Urgent Study Lesson

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word is really more like an urgent study lesson. Please read and study, then pray about these verses: Numbers 22-25, 2 Peter 2:15-16, Jude 11, Revelation 2:14. The Lord has put upon my heart that we need to become very familiar with the wicked ways of Balaam son of Beor so we can recognize those ways easily and reveal it to others. We must now equip ourselves with truth from scripture, so that when the Holy Spirit moves us to minister or pray in a way to reveal falseness, we will not only move easily but we will move with zeal! ~Have a blessed weekend!
