Look and See Before It Is Hidden

Greetings in the Lord!

Today's word comes from Luke 19:41-44:
"As he (Jesus) approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace--but now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you."

Today's scripture reminds us not to take for granted the presence of the Lord, for indeed, He is moving mightily among us now. How precious the time was when the Lord preached to the multitudes along the hillsides and villages, healing the masses and having dinner at people's houses....yet they were unaware of and did not fully understand the miracles of those moments. His words, while often misunderstood and perplexing, also were so matter of fact that many of the people overlooked their significance and went about with their own lives. And when they saw the strong rejection by the Pharisees of Jesus, well, that just made some of them turn away altogether. Today's word, beloveds, is to "recognize the time of God's coming to you."

~May God richly bless those who see Him.
