A Great Harvest of Approval

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word is Psalm 67, taken from the Amplified Bible: "God be merciful and gracious to us and bless us and cause His face to shine upon us and among us. Selah. That Your way may be known upon earth, Your saving power (Your deliverances and Your salvation) among all nations. Let the peoples praise You (turn away from their idols) and give thanks to You, O God; let all the peoples praise and give thanks to You. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for You will judge the peoples fairly and guide, lead, or drive the nations upon earth. Selah. Let the peoples praise You (turn away from their idols) and give thanks to You, O God; let all the peoples praise and give thanks to You! The earth has yielded its harvest (in evidence of God's approval); God, even our own God, will bless us. God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall reverently fear Him." ~This version of Psalm 67 is a little different than other translations because

The Ninevites Believed God

Greetings in the Lord! "On the first day, Jonah started into the city. He proclaimed: 'Forty more days and Nineveh will be overturned.' The Ninevites believed God. They declared a fast, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth." "When the news reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust. Then he issued a proclamation in Nineveh: 'By the decree of the king and his nobles: Do not let any man or beast, herd or flock, taste anything; do not let them eat or drink. But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up their evil ways and their violence. Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish.'" "When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction he

They Will Refute Every Tongue

Greetings in the Lord! "After John's messengers left, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: "What did you go out into the desert to see? A reed swayed by the wind? If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear expensive clothes and indulge in luxury are in palaces. But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. This is the one about whom it is written: 'I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.'" Luke 7:24-27. This word was given in December 2005 to me regarding our modern-day prophets whose entire ministries have been devoted to "preparing the way of the Lord." In particular, the Spirit made mention of Jack Van Impe who has been announcing the nearing days of the "revived Roman Empire," more commonly known as the European Union. At that time in 2005 the Spirit revealed that: "By 2008 the EU will pass their constitu

Voice Calling Out

Greetings in the Lord! "The beginning of the gospel about Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It is written in Isaiah the prophet: 'I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way'--'a voice of one calling in the desert, "Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him."' Mark 1:1-2. And so, the voices are calling out, preparing the way for the Lord. Did you know that? Can you feel it? Has the Spirit been stirring in you an anticipation of His Presence to be ushered in this nation? Yes, voices are crying out and the way is being prepared. "The word of the Lord came to me: "Son of man, set your face torward the south; preach against the south and prophesy against the south and prophesy against the forest of the southland. Say to the southern forest: "Hear the word of the Lord. This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am about to set fire to you, and it will consume all your trees, both the green and dry. The blaz

Roll Up Your Sleeves

Greetings in the Lord! I hope everyone had a great Easter celebration! I, too, was able to enjoy mine, even while working in a day visit to a prophetic conference being held in Chicago. There's never a dull moment with the Lord. :) At any rate, I wanted to take a moment to share with all of you a recap of what the Lord has been saying to me these days, even confirming things He had dropped into my spirit as long as two years ago. On the way into Chicago I got off on a smaller highway that passed right through Plainfield, Naperville, and other towns of suburban southwest Chicago. I had an open-eyed vision of a preacher/teacher being blown out of a pulpit, then from under a tree, and finally from a small hilltop. I knew that these images represented Old Testament idolatry. It was interesting, too, that at the same time I saw this vision that there were many large churches, larger shopping malls, and brand new residential districts of beautiful homes all along this stretch of h

Revival Has Already Begun

Greetings in the Lord! As many of you know, the Lord has sent me to the south St. Louis area along the great Mississippi river for a season of time. And, at the small congregation He has sent me to, I've been a witness to hear and see their cry to God for revival in this area as well as the nation. Well, I want to share with all of you a most blessed word that the Spirit gave us last week: " Revival has already begun in the north." Last week a guest preacher from Florida was invited to come up to help celebrate the congregation's 6th year anniversary. From Sunday to Wednesday he preached on "Supernatural Encouragement"--we were so blessed! It was on Sunday night that we were speaking about revival and the Lord filled my mouth with, "Revival has already begun in the north." From that time, the Holy Spirit has called to my rememberance what took place in the Iron Mountain area: the Jubilee services and many other cross-denomination services tha

Spring is in the Air

Greetings in the Lord! Spring is definitely in the air in St. Louis! The landscape is brightly lit with all sorts of colors of flowers in bloom. Finally, too, the mud is being paved with bright green grass. Amen! But the best news is that His Seed also springing forth! Yes, 3 or 4 years ago the Lord had sent me down to Texas to sow some seed, in very rocky soil I might add, and I had not heard anything since then. Well, as it turned out, the Lord had also sent others to water, prune, fertilize, etc. those seeds and lo and behold---a sprout has eruped! "But your dead will live; their bodies will rise. You who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy. Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead." Isaiah 26:19 Indeed, this is the season of the prodigals returning to the Lord! Amen and amen. Oh, the phone calls you may receive now from these people are still full of anguish, as they lament and cry out in their birthing process. B

You Are Firmly Established in Truth

Greetings in the Lord! For the past few days the Lord has been leading me to read passages of Scripture that talk about standing firm in the truth and contending for the faith. Today's passage is more of the same. 2 Peter 1:12,16-21~ "So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have....We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain. And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it,...Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet&

Justice Rolling Like a River

Greetings in the Lord! A month ago as the Lord was preparing me for the next place He would send me, I recall having a dream in which I parachuted down from the sky looking at a pleasant hilly land below me. While most of it was covered with trees, I also saw cliffsides and cleared areas of land where someone had cut away a portion of a hill, exposing the rock and leaving level ground of muddy dirt and uprooted trees. That is now my view as I look out the townhouse window! Yes, the cutting away of the hills and clearing of the trees is because of housing developments--everywhere! I am living along the great Mississippi River, in the rolling hills south of St. Louis. It is an area of small, sleepy country towns...now being overrun by crafty businessmen who are developing areas that no one can see how the local economies will support. And for the "leaders" of these communities, they don't seem to mind. Why? Because many profit handsomely from selling these areas of l

Swept Clean

Greetings in the Lord! It is good to write to you again. I don't know about many of you, but the 'winds of change' that were written about back in Nov./Dec. have been blowing mightily around my neck of the woods! Yes, turbulent and forceful winds. Winds that have gone way beyond wrecking hairdos and more like having people run for cover. This morning as I was praying I saw myself hunkered down on the ground while a windstorm raged above me. The Lord was letting me see just how I've been spiritually for the past months--not moving backwards, but digging in with my hands, knees and feet to remain firmly fixed to the ground, to the Rock that can't be moved while all else is swept away. But alas, in confirmation to the word Chuck Pierce gave today, the winds will be changing in our favor soon enough. For high above the windstorm the Lord has been watching to see that all He has planned to do this season in our hearts has been accomplished. "Do not fear, O Ja

Tree of Life II

Greetings in the Lord! I'm being shaken from my restful month to share with you an urgent prayer request. If you may recall, on November 1st I wrote a blog titled, "Tree of Life." In it, I shared a vision the Lord gave me about the local high school here in Big Rapids. First, the Spirit put on my heart to pray "for the light and life of Christ to fill that school." Then, the Lord gave me a vision. In this vision the school was represented by a huge oak tree on a hill and its leaves, fruit and branches provided healing, knowledge, and shelter for the kids of this region (it is a "school of choice" and kids come from as far as an hour away to attend). However, after a moment I saw that there were many dead bodies hanging on the tree branches and became alarmed. I prayed that the Lord would cut down those hanging bodies and breathe His Life back into them. I believed at the time that those bodies were dead dreams, hopes, relationships, etc. and pra

Restful December Notice

Greetings in the Lord! I just wanted to write and give a warm best wishes to all this holiday season! It has been laid on my heart to take some time off from writing and spend it resting close to the Master for the month. I thank God for each and every one of you and pray that you will enjoy the holiday season and find some together time with Jesus as well. Whether it's Christmas caroling, having friends and loved ones over for fellowship, or reaching out to whoever the Lord puts in your path this season, may the love of Christ be seen on your face and His peace and joy overflowing in your heart. ~Be blessed and be a blessing.

Remnant Taken Root and Bear Fruit

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word is actually an update on a word the Lord gave me in November 2004, taken from Isaiah 37:30-32~ "This will be the sign for you, O Hezekiah: This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit. Once more a remnant of the house of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above. For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this." ~The complete word (Isaiah 37:28-35) was given in response to Osama Bin Laden's videotaped speech in which he threatened the American public to not re-elect President Bush or else we would face terrorist activity on our soil. The Lord's response was the same now as it was then to King Sennacherib of the Assyrians: no such incidents would take place. We could be sure of that by a sign--the above verses 30-32.

Childlike

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Mark 10:13-16~ "People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them,"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them." ~~We work so hard at times to be in control, to have all the answers, and to seem very important to others. However, that thinking is contrary to receiving and entering the kingdom of God. Isn't it nice to know that the more we rely on Him for our every need and the more we simply believe the words He gently speaks to our hearts, the more the kingdom of God is received into our midst. "On earth as it is in heaven..." ~Be blessed and b

Exiles Returning to Take the Land

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Ezekiel chapters 11-12, of which I will share selected verses~ "Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the gate of the house of the Lord that faces east. There at the entrance to the gate were twenty-five men,...leaders of the people (the remnant left in Jerusalem). The Lord said to me, "Son of man, these are the men who are plotting evil and giving wicked advice in this city. They say, 'Will it not soon be time to build houses? This city is a cooking pot and we are the meat.' Therefore prophesy against them;..."You have killed many people in this city and filled its streets with the dead....The bodies you have thrown there are the meat and this city is the pot, but I will drive you out of it....And you will know that I am the Lord, for you have not followed my decrees or kept my laws but have conformed to the standards of the nations around you." Therefore say: 'This is what the Sovereign L

Stay On the Narrow Path

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from 1 Samuel 28:3-8~ "Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had mourned for him and buried him in his own town of Ramah. Saul had expelled the mediums and spiritists from the land. The Philistines assembled and came and set up camp at Shunem, while Saul gathered all the Israelites and set up camp at Gilboa. When Saul saw the Philistine army, he was afraid; terror filled his heart. He inquired of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him by dreams or Urim or prophets. Saul then said to his attendants, "Find me a woman who is a medium, so I may go and inquire of her." "There is one in Endor," they said. So Saul disguised himself, putting on other clothes, and at night he and two men when to the woman. "Consult a spirit for me," he said, "and bring up for me the one I name." ~The word today is interesting--it talks about how Saul loses heart when he sees his enemy gathering against him and th

Happy Thanksgiving

To all~ Unless the Lord directs otherwise, I will return to the "pen and ink" on Monday. :) Have a Happy Thanksgiving! ~Be blessed and be a blessing~

My Brother Ishmael

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Genesis 16:9-12 and Genesis 21:14-20~ And he said, "Hagar, servant of Sarai, where have you come from and where are you going?"  "I'm running away from my mistress Sarai," she answered. Then the angel of the Lord told Hagar, "Go back to your mistress and submit to her." The angel added, "I will so increase your descendants that they will be too numerous to count." The angel of the Lord also said to her: "You are now with child and you will have a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the Lord has heard of your misery. He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers." Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the

Intercession: In It For the Long Haul

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Isaiah chapter 16, of which I will share selected verses~ "Send lambs as tribute to the ruler of the land, from Sela, across the desert, to the mount of the Daughter of Zion. Like fluttering birds pushed from the nest, so are the women of Moab at the fords of the Arnon. Give us counsel, render a decision...Hide the fugitives, do not betray the refugees. Let the Moabite fugitives stay with you; be their shelter from the destroyer...We have heard of Moab's pride--her overweening pride and conceit, her pride and her insolence--but her boasts are empty....The shouts of joy over your ripened fruit and over your harvests have been stilled. Joy and gladness are taken away from the orchards;...My heart laments for Moab like a harp, my inmost being for Kir Hareseth. When Moab appears at her high place, she only wears herself out; when she goes to her shrine to pray, it is to no avail. This is the word the Lord has already spoken

The Wonderful Smell of Clean Laundry

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Luke 20:1-8, and Luke 19:41-44~ "One day as Jesus was teaching the people in the temple courts and preaching the gospel, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, together with the elders, came up to him. "Tell us by what authority you are doing these things," they said. "Who gave you this authority?" Jesus replied, "I will also ask you a question. Tell me, John's baptism--was it from heaven, or from men?" They discussed it among themselves and said, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will ask, 'Why didn't you believe him?' But if we say, 'From men,' all the people will stone us, because they are persuaded that John was a prophet." So they answered, "We don't know where it was from." Jesus said, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things." 41-44) "As Jesus approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wep
