Ring of FIre
Greetings in the Lord~
The past couple of days I've received passages of Scripture from Nehemiah 3 and Psalms 83, 116, 2, and 20. In all of these, there is a theme underscoring the verses, and that is of ungodly agendas of nations coming together to gang up and ally against God's servants and shake their fist at God and His plans and purposes. This is not only unwise and unholy, but it is a futile proposition and most worthy of incurring the wrath of God as a response.
"Let us break their chains," they cry, "and free ourselves from slavery to God." But the One who rules in heaven laughs. The Lord scoffs at them. Then in anger He rebukes them, terrifying them with His fierce fury. Psalm 2:3-5
Now I know that the Lord rescues His anointed king. He will answer him from His holy heaven and rescues him by His great power. Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the Lord our God. Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm. Psalm 20:6-8
Now then, you kings act wisely! Be warned, you rulers of the earth! Serve the Lord with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling. Submit to God's royal son, or he will become angry, and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities---for his anger flares up in an instant. But what joy for all who take refuge in him! Psalm 2:10-12
Nehemiah 3 goes on to list all of the people who joined in to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem at the call of Nehemiah. It is a passage that not only gives honor to those who responded to God's plans, but is a prophetic decree that God's people will come together to accomplish all that God has purposed in this day and hour, despite the many enemies that have gathered to try and hinder and thwart the plans of God. The plans of the wicked will come to nothing, in fact, they will hurt themselves in their rebellious ways, while God will always accomplish what He intends to do and bless and give victory to His people in the process.
I discern that in the days ahead we will see several major showdowns politically, as nations (and powerful ruling groups within nations) with ungodly agendas try to form evil alliances to come against the plans and purposes of God and His people. Though for a moment it looks as if they will be successful, in the end God will bring disgrace to them and scatter them into the wind. In fact, I discern there will be MAJOR political upheavals in some places (specifically, I see a ring of fire around the globe igniting nations of the southern hemisphere). These are fires of hatred and major conflicts: racial tensions, religious extremism and violence, and political battles for power. God is in the midst of these serious tensions and His will will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
