Greetings in the Lord!
Well, I have a bit of an update to share, one I didn't even know to watch or that it was happening, and I'm sure most of you won't remember this word either. But nevertheless, I like to share such things because it's important to acknowledge when God fulfills His word--it's a testimony--and also its a good reminder for us that although we don't get to see His seed growing in people's hearts, it is. I find that very encouraging.
Take, for example, a blog I wrote way back in January of 2010 about a woman I vaguely knew anything about, British comic Jennifer Saunders (and her comedic partner, Dawn French). When the Lord put her on my heart from out of the blue in October of 2009, I had to do some research about her on the Internet. I had never heard of her comedy series "French and Saunders" or most of the other projects she had done over the years, except for her TV series "Absolutely Fabulous." And while I found that show pretty amusing on the occasions I saw it, I must admit I felt convicted by the Holy Spirit watching it. The series celebrated every form of debauchery imaginable and did not glorify God in the least. So it was curious to learn about their other TV projects which included more God-themed characters. I noticed that both these comedians were not shy about including spirituality (whether it be pagan/occult, New Age or Christian) in their projects and knew right away that two things were true 1) they both were people of faith, and 2) they were treading on thin ice, spiritually speaking that is, because of their serious irreverent humor and naivety about the demonic realm. So I began to pray for them.
At the time the word of the Lord was this: "It is time for holy laughter to reign in the UK!" and felt that in some way Jennifer would play a part in that.
Well, unbeknown to me, she was diagnosed with breast cancer that '09 October and spent all of 2010 battling it. In July 2010 she was declared cancer-free but still continued to receive follow-up treatments until now. And at the latest writing, she has agreed to come out of "retirement" and will again be on a British comedy program. Good for her! Only the Lord knows what all was happening between her and Him during her struggle (and Dawn too, with a divorce from her husband at the same time), but one thing is for sure, God will fulfill His word to bring "holy laughter" to the UK and bless the people there.
So what else is the Lord saying today?
"Fires of spiritual revival will burn in the UK! My people, the ones who have gone on a long time not living for Me, will come back home, returning their hearts to Me--the God of their fathers, and they will bless the people with shouts of glory and praise for the One who saved them. A song is heard in Wales of victory in Christ! In Lincoln shire and London, and all over the countrysides, fires of revival will burn for the goodness of Jesus Christ has set them free. The chains of the enemy are breaking off minds and bodies as His people come out into the light to tell the Good News of Jesus and what He did for them. Neighbors will hardly recognize the good health and peaceful mind of the one sharing their testimony--and the Holy Spirit will do it again for the listeners! Be careful how you listen, for these are the days of great deeds being done by the Lord, and He wants to do it again for every listening believer still in bondage!"
Great is His faithfulness! Great is His love for the oppressed! Praise God!
