Summer Storms Are Brewing

Greetings in the Lord!

Is anyone else just sick and tired of hearing and reading all of the contempt, lies and mockery coming from Trump's enemies?  I mean, seriously, how much venom can people have?  But then I am quickly reminded that we war not with flesh and blood, but with powers and rulers of darkness--yet our King reigns far higher, "far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in this present age but in the one to come.  And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the Church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way." Ephesians 1:21-23

So it is to Jesus Christ that I make my prayerful appeal:
Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us, for we have endured no end of contempt.  We have endured no end of ridicule from the arrogant, of contempt from the proud. Psalm 123:3-4

Increase the days of the king's life, his years for many generations. May he be enthroned in God's presence forever; appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him. Psalm 61:6-7

And do you know that God does not despise His faithful ones?  Though enemies plot together and form an alliance against the Lord and say, "Let us take possession of the pasture lands of God," God Almighty rises up to make them "like chaff before the wind. As fire consumes the forest or a flame sets the mountains ablaze, so pursue them with Your tempest and terrify them with Your storm. Cover their faces with shame, O Lord, so that men will seek Your name." Ps. 83:14-16

These are exciting days indeed, and a summer storm is brewing, for today the prophetic word of the Lord comes from Isaiah 51.  It will be a big word of comfort to those who have prayerfully supported the plans and purposes of the Lord being carried out in part by our new US administration and have felt/been downtrodden as a result, but also for those in the Body of Christ who have just been fighting the good fight while doing what the Lord has called them to do--and have been enduring much spiritual warfare as a result.  The Lord is about to execute divine judgment on oppressors in the many forms that we see them manifest in large scale in the world today, whether it be ruthless dictators, ungodly agendas of globalists, 'fake news' media, or adherents to hateful ideology and violence.

"Listen to Me, My people; hear Me, My nation: Instruction will go out from Me; My justice will become a light to the nations. My righteousness draws near speedily, My salvation is on the way, and My arm will bring justice to the nations...Hear Me, you who know what is right, you people who have taken My instruction to heart: Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals or be terrified by their insults.  For the moth will eat them up like a garment; the worm will devour them like wool.  But My righteousness will last forever, My salvation through all generations." Isaiah 51:4-8

The Lord goes on to implore His people not to fear their noisy oppressors, but to look to their God to receive His comfort and expect deliverance.
"The cowering prisoners will soon be set free; they will not die in their dungeon, nor will they lack bread. Is. 51:14  As I read that I had a vision of prison guards (North Korea) leaving their post, refusing to torture and kill their own people anymore.  Let the word of the Lord be fulfilled, amen. Side note: I don't think that it is a coincidence that American ex-detainee in North Korea, Otto Warmbier, was recently released either.  Based on the word today, I do expect more prisoners to be released and this incident as a catalyst for major changes over there--another leg kicked out from propping up that fragile and near-ending regime.

Next, the passage in Isaiah 51 goes on to talk about a concept that gets hotly debated within the American church, the topic of the wrath of the Lord.  The idea is that the Lord allows a certain amount of His wrath to come upon His people for their sins, or rather, removes His grace so that they reap what they have been sowing.  It is a form of discipline meant to soften their hearts and help people turn to repentance to the Lord.  In Isaiah 17 it is referred to as "the cup of His wrath....that makes people stagger...They are filled with the wrath of the Lord, with the rebuke of your God."

However, a couple verses later the Lord gives this 'cup of wrath' to their oppressors.  "I will put it into the hands of your tormentors, who said to you, 'Fall prostrate that we may walk on you.' God does not stay angry forever, He is a forgiving God, a compassionate God who desires to bless us.  It is only when His people sow into their sinful natures that they run into trouble; eventually they will reap what they have been sowing. Sometimes this is even a collective thing, like when a whole society becomes corrupt and lowers standards of morality to suit themselves or to pursue false gods; the country comes under the heavy hand of the Lord and can even fall under the covenant curses as listed in Deuteronomy 27-28.  But that is another blog.

Anyway, I do discern that we are in a season when the Lord will be pronouncing major judgments; court is in session, so to speak, and it is a day of reckoning for those who have been oppressing people.  I expect to see some major things exposed this summer within the American political system (Democratic party especially), more gains made against ISIS and some game-changing decisions made within the Syrian conflict, and I see in the spirit realm circling winds of change blowing over western Europe, a major windstorm.  It is a counter-clockwise spiral (I don't know which way the wind normally blows across Europe), so this could be an attempt to reverse decisions or a time of going back to a previous mentality or way of doing business.  Either way, the winds blow up from the southeast with its epicenter over Germany, radiating out like spokes on a wheel over the rest of the continent, dumping heavily on the UK.  In all of this, let the Lord's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

~Be blessed and be a blessing.
