Bulls of Bashan

Greetings in the Lord, On Monday I awoke from a troubling dream.  In the dream I was in a house that was familiar to me, but it was filled with large animals, even the cats were enormous in size.  But the animal that caught my attention was a big, grey bull.  Its face was distorted and ugly, almost looking like a cross between a hippopotamus and bull, but the body was definitely that of a bull.  Unlike a regular bull, this one had little hair and its skin was a dead grey color.  "Strong death" is what I thought.  But instead of being afraid of this mutant animal the people in the house were stroking its face and saying how much they adored it.  Ugh!  They loved dearly this abnormal creature and were so happy to have it in the house. Immigration Update

Greetings in the Lord! Just two days after posting the word from the Lord about the US-Mexican Immigration issue, US Immigration officials made over 1,100 arrests at more than 40 sites nationwide at a company called IFCO Systems for immigration charges, and two other companies in several cities pleaded guilty on similar charges. If convicted, fines could run as high as $250,000 per illegal worker at IFCO, with a 10-year prison sentence for the business managers. The US Immigration officials found terrible living conditions for the illegal workers, some living in groups of 10 to 20. Many businesses wer accused of not paying over-time to the illegal employees, who were being set up for deportation. Willing or not, these released "captives" will soon be reunited with their families in Mexico, while US Immigration officials promise to increase their down on US businesses who look to cash in illegally on "cheap labor." Action Louder Than Words

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Ezekiel 33:30-33: "As for you, son of man, your countrymen are talking together about you by the walls and at the doors of the houses, saying to each other, 'Come and hear the message that has come from the Lord.' My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to listen to your words, but they do not put it into practice. With their mouths they express devotion, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain. Indeed, to them you are nothing more than one who sings love songs with a beautiful voice and plays an instrument well, for they hear your words but do not put them into practice. Weekend Bible Study

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word is a rather long study coming from Proverbs 26:24-26, Proverbs 22:8,10, Genesis 21:8-12, Romans chapter 9 and Hosea 8:7-10. I will list only selected verses below: "A malicious man disguises himself with his lips, but in his heart he harbors deceit. Though his speech is charming, do not believe him, for seven abominations fill his heart (see Proverbs 6:16-19). Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Nehemiah chapter 6, especially verses 10-14. "One day I went to the house of Shemaiah son of Delaiah, the son of Mehetabel, who was shut in at his home. He said, "Let us meet in the house of God, inside the temple, and let us close the temple doors, because men are coming to kill you--by night they are coming to kill you." But I said, "Should a man like me run away? Or should one like me go into the temple to save his life? I will not go!" Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Jeremiah 30:16-19~ "But all who devour you will be devoured; all your enemies will go into exile. Those who plunder you will be plundered; all who make spoil of you I will despoil. But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the Lord, 'because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.' Let Us Go Up to Build

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from 2 Chronicles 36:22-23~ "In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah, the Lord moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and to put it in writing: This is what Cyrus king of Persia says: 'The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and He has appointed me to build a temple for Him at Jerusalem in Judah. Anyone of His people among you--may the Lord his God be with him, and let him go up.'" ~In July the Lord gave the word for us to pray that a Cyrus would be raised up to issue a decree that the temple would be rebuilt in Jerusalem. Now, 2 months later, we receive a word from the Lord about a "Cyrus" issuing that decree and the invitation for God's people to go there to help build.
