Confession is Good for the Soul

Greetings in the Lord~ Today's word comes from Jeremiah 11, which carries a pretty powerful and poignant punch to the gut of those who love and know the Lord, for it is a message of, "This is the last straw."   Jeremiah was told to preach to the people of Israel and Judah: "Remind the people of Judah and Jerusalem about the terms of My covenant with them.  Say to them, 'This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says: Cursed is anyone who does not obey the terms of My covenant!  For I said to your ancestors when I brought them out of the iron-smelting furnace of Egypt, "If you obey Me and do whatever I command you, then you will be My people, and I will be your God."  I said this so I could keep My promise to your ancestors to give you a land flowing with milk and honey---the land you live in today."  Jeremiah 11:2- 5 However, the majority of the people of Israel and Judah at that time were not faithful to God, for they worshiped Baal and other false...

Commercial Giant About to Fall

  Greetings in the Lord~ Today's prophetic word comes from Ezekiel 27 & 28, with both chapters basically decreeing a word of judgment against the city and ruler of Tyre, and indirectly, the demonic spirit that has been influencing and working through Tyre's ruler behind the scenes.   It opens with a beautiful allegory of the city of Tyre being like this amazing and formidable mercantile ship, crewed with the most skilled mariners and filled with a spectrum of cargo to ship all throughout the furthest reaches of that time.  Tyre was the spectacular door to the commercial world, whose harbor drew the fineries of the whole land in and out to it's hungry clients, who couldn't wait to become rich in the trading or popular with showing off the luxuries they purchased.  But more than luxuries--everything passed through it's docks, from food, to riches, to cloth and even people!  Yes, even slaves were shipped all throughout the land from this port. I Have Faith

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word is from 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2: "Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith." Have you ever had a conversation with a non-believer and they say, "I have faith, just not in God," or something along those lines. I am surprised at how often I have heard that! Actually, the definition of faith also includes the characteristics of trust and loyalty, so faith is more like a relationship between beings rather than a trust in a belief system, laws of nature, or inanimate objects. So, what they mean to say is that they have put their trust in something or many things other than God. These misplaced trusts are what they rely on instead of the Lord. The Seas Have Lifted Up

Greetings in the Lord! Today I have received many scriptures, which I discern, is about the new season we are entering. An early scripture I received was from Jeremiah 44, where disaster was prophesied against the unfaithful Jews living in Egypt. The chapter also includes a section about how the women in particular refused to give up their worship of the Queen of Heaven. The next scripture was Ezekiel chapter 8, where Ezekiel is taken by the Spirit of the Lord to the temple to witness the destable practices of the Jewish people, including their leaders, by their secret idol worship in the temple of the Lord. After that was Hosea chapter 4, especially verses 7-12: "The more the priests increased, the more they sinned against me; they exchanged their Glory for something disgraceful. They feed on the sins of my people and relish their wickedness. And it will be: Like people, like priests. I will punish both of them for their ways and repay them for their deeds. Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Galatians chapter 2:11-16~ "When Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was clearly in the wrong. Before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray. When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. Keep to the Blueprint Please

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Isaiah 44:8~ "Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one." ~Tonight I went to a different student Bible study near campus. It was a group of about 12 or so, mostly Methodist kids. Being Methodist myself, I can say that these kids were a fair representation of what is going on in many of the Methodist churches these days--heavy on the socializing and light on scripture...even lighter on the Holy Spirit. But nonetheless, the Lord did send me there for His purposes. First, to give a prophetic word for one of His chosen ones out of the group that had a special calling for evangelism through music, and that she should move boldly through the doors the Lord has open for her.
