To Russia, With Love

Greetings in Christ! In the Fall of 2002 I played basketball and lived in Kazan, Russia. While I was there, the Lord gave me many words and revelations about what He was doing in Russia, all of it was based on the premise of Ezekiel 37, the Valley of Dry Bones. The Lord was telling me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life...then you will know that I am the Lord.'" (verses 4-6). The Lord went on to say that He was going to "change their hearts of stone to hearts of flesh," beginning with the leaders of their country. All those who would not surrender their corrupt lifestyles to the Lord would be removed from power and so on. Jeroboam Hangs in the Balance

Greetings in the Lord~ You know how sometimes, when we have one disaster come along and we think it is the biggest problem that we've ever had to deal with, but later on something else comes up that makes that earlier "disaster" pale by comparison?  Yeah, we all can relate to that.  Well, at the moment, some pretty big situations are hanging in a balance and decisions have to be made, albeit, behind closed doors, far from view (and input) of the common person.  Yes, certain national leaders are milling over a potential scenario--would a "kinder, gentler North Korea" be in our best interest?  A prettier face giving up more control and access and giving less headaches?  Would it be enough to change the narrative of a stupid mistake made in a lab?  Will others play along for the sake of harmony--political, economic and otherwise?    I'm the type of person that really enjoys competition, whether a board game, cards, sports, you name it.  A go...

God's Presence in the Lightning

Greetings in the Lord! Well, this has been a very unusual week with the Lord.  On Monday, I came home from work exhausted not just from the start of the busy school year, but more because I felt the ramping up of vile wickedness in the spirit realm and cried out to God for strength to endure, "Have mercy, O God!"  As I rested in prayerful meditation, I heard a knock at my bedroom door, but upon answering, found that there was no one there.  Only one other time had that ever happened to me--right before Hurricane Katrina.  That morning the Lord woke me up very early with a knock at my bedroom door--three times until I finally mustered up enough courage to answer it as I was home alone and it was 4:30 AM!  This time, however, I was not afraid.  Rather, I recognized His presence and was alert the rest of the week expecting to discern more from the Lord about what is up. God is Sovereign Over All Health, Wealth and Liberty

  Greetings in the Lord, It's been a little while since I've written so I will combine some words given for this month together, especially since they seem to follow a similar trajectory. The first word comes from Exodus 8-10, which is about the plagues sent against Egypt for the rebellion of Pharaoh.  We all know the story, because of Pharaoh's hardened heart, he would not let the Israelite slaves leave Egypt to worship God in the desert.  But the interesting thing to note about the ten plagues sent against Egypt is that each of them had slightly different objectives.  Some of the plagues were sent only against the Egyptians, thus it differentiated between the Israelites and Egyptians.  Some of the plagues required the people to respond or react to the decree in faith, thus showing that they believed God when He said He was going to do something.  For example, the Egyptians were told to get their servants and animals out of the open field to protect them f...
