Meadow of Green Grass

Greetings in the Lord!

Has anyone been at work tilling hard soil over the past couple of years? What about cutting down thistles and weeds and combing rocks out of a parched land? Yep, me too.

Well, this week I had the pleasure of watching the groundsmen where I live prepare the rocky, dry ground for green grass to be laid. They plowed the ground level then removed big rocks, and finally, they laid out rows of green grass turf! In an afternoon the areas around the house became a beautiful lush lawn!

"This is what the Lord says--He who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you: Do not be afraid, O Jacob, my servant, Jeshrun, whom I have chosen.
For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.
They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams.
One will say, 'I belong to the Lord'; another will call himself by the name of Jacob; still another will write on his hand, 'The Lord's,' and will take the name of Israel." Isaiah 44:2-5

~And so it is, our spiritual offspring will 'spring up like grass in a meadow.' Praise God who stood by us to give us strength to continue to minister when we wanted to throw in the towel. Praise God who put a boldness in our hearts and words in our mouth to speak to those the Lord had called us to minister to, even when they vehemently resisted our efforts. "Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction." (2 Timothy 4:2) Praise God that there is a time and season for all things under heaven. "He changes times and seasons; He sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning." (Daniel 2:21) Praise God who knows the end from the beginning, our Alpha and Omega.

~Be blessed and be a blessing.
