Quiet Dinner at Home

Greetings in the Lord!

Today's word comes from Proverbs 17:1~
"Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife."

~Well, I'm not sure who the Lord is talking to today, but it seems that He is reminding us that not every holiday gathering, celebration, or joyous occasion is in our best interest to attend when the possibilities of conflict abound. Also, I discern that this proverb has a spiritual reference as well, as in, having the choice of going to a huge, elaborate prophetic conference for a spiritual "feast," for example, even if it means that you will have to share the company of those who may start trouble; versus, just staying home and being fed a "peaceful meal" of one on one with the Father to avoid conflict. The Lord says it is wise to just stay home...

  Greetings in the Lord~ Well, Trump's in office and the predicted fireworks show has been non-stop. Favor of the Lord

Greetings in the Lord! Yesterday I received an encouraging word from a friend about the favor of God, but I'm not sure I really received it. Today, however, the Lord said it, so I not only received it, but am passing along the blessing to all of you. Enjoy! Greetings in the Lord! Today's verse comes from 2 Corinthians 12:2-10. "I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven....He heard inexpressible things, things that man is not permitted to tell. I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself, except about my weaknesses. Even if I should choose to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will think more of me than is warranted by what I do or say." Come to the Mountain

Greetings in the Lord! God is so fun...today's scripture is from Hebrews 12:14-29 and completely picks up where we left off of from yesterday's scripture in Deuteronomy 5. :) "Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. Be A Fruitful Branch

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from John 15:1-2, 4, 16: "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful...Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.....You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit---fruit that will last. The Lord Has Stirred Hearts To Build

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Haggai 1:13-15: "Then Haggai, the Lord's messenger, gave this message of the Lord to the people: "I am with you," declares the Lord. So the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of the whole remnant of the people. They came and began to work on the house of the Lord Almighty, their God, on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month in the second year of King Darius." ~What project has the Lord stirred your heart to undertake? Eternal Life

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from 1 Samuel chapter 28:13-15a and Matthew 27:52-53. "The king (Saul) said to her, "Don't be afraid. What do you see?" The woman said, "I see a spirit coming up out of the ground. "What does he look like?" he asked. "An old man wearing a robe is coming up," she said. Then Saul knew it was Samuel, and he bowed down and prostrated himself with his face to the ground. Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?" (1 Samuel 28:13-15a) "The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus' resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people."
