The Lord Our Protector

Greetings prayer warriors!

Take your place and petition the Lord today for safety and His protection. For the word today is an unashamed cry for deliverance:
"Rescue me, O Lord, from evil men; protect me from men of , who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day. They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent's; the poison of vipers is on their lips...O Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer, who shields my head in the day of battle--do not grant the wicked their desires, O Lord; do not let their plans succeed, or they will become proud...Let slanderers not be established in the land; may disaster hunt down men of . Surely the righteous will praise your name and the upright will live before you." Psalm 140:1-3,7-8,11,13

While this psalm may be too intense for some, I have learned while living in some spiritually dark nations overseas that the Lord reveals the schemes of the wicked to His attentive righteous ones so that we can petition Him for safety--for ourselves or for whatever or whoever may be in dire need in the body of Christ. As a prayer warrior and violent intercessor we need not know all the details before we act in accordance with the urgency of a word like this...we simply petition God in faith. In God we trust...literally! And from the nature of this psalm and from past experiences I discern it to be in reference to persecution going on somewhere in the body of Christ. Pray and watch for answered prayer on CNN...

Putting the "C" Back in the YMCA

Greetings in the Lord! About two weeks ago I had a dream in which I looked over to the direction of my closet and I saw a rock in a desert---then water, clear and cool came out from it and filled my spirit. It was so refreshing that I actually woke up full of energy. It reminded me of the rock Moses struck in the desert that brought forth water for the Israelites. It was so powerful a dream that I discerned that something new was about to take place. Well, sure enough. This week the Lord has put on my heart that He intends to pour out His Spirit on the YMCA where I am employed. The funny thing is, all up until that dream of water coming from the rock, I had been distressed about the lack of the true "C"--Christianity, in the YMCA. By in large, the organization promotes "good" religious values (Caring, Respect, Responsibility, and Honesty) and give some lip service to God, but actions and hard heart conditions toward Jesus and the Word are overly prevalent. Spirit of Repentance

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Isaiah chapters 46 & 47, especially 46:10-13: "I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I do. Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted, you who are far from righteousness. I am bringing my righteousness near, it is not far away; and my salvation will not be delayed. Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Jeremiah 37:9-10~ "This is what the Lord says: Do not deceive yourselves, thinking, 'The Babylonians will surely leave us.' They will not! Even if you were to defeat the entire Babylonian army that is attacking you and only wounded men were left in their tents, they would come out and burn this city down." ~Yesterday and tonight I watched the TV documentary/drama of "Path to 9/11." I thought the program was interesting and appreciated the fact that the program took its time in presenting all the ist incidents that led up to 9/11...including our policymakers official positions, as well as all the counter-activity that went on by those in the field that seemed to of had a better understanding of ist activities and intentions. Greetings in the Lord! I just wanted to write and give a warm best wishes to all this holiday season! It has been laid on my heart to take some time off from writing and spend it resting close to the Master for the month. Scatter the Fruitless Fig Trees

Greetings in the Lord! One of the things I've learned very well over the years is that God's timing is not our timing. I know, it's like, "You can say that again, sister!" right? ha Yeah, it's hard to wait...for good things, that is. For the possibility of unpleasant things to happen we can appreciate delay, hoping it never to come to pass, but not so for good things. We want them now. God's word speaks so often of timing, seasons, He calls it, that a special anointing was given to the tribe of Issachar to be able to discern the seasons of God. I Spy With My Little Eye
