The God of Mysteries is on the Move
Greetings in the Lord!
About three weeks ago I turned to Daniel 2--the passage about Nebuchadnezzar's dream of the giant statue. There were two things that stuck me as I read the story. First, Nebuchadnezzar used the dream as a test for all of his "wise men"--tell me the dream and its meaning or die. Nothing like being put to the test! It seemed that God wanted to sift all of the white noise that was filling the king's ear and show him who was the real deal from among his counselors. The king's rage at the wise men who said it couldn't be done was a righteous anger--he could see them for the charlatans that they were.
Daniel kept his cool and asked the commander of the king's guard for more time, then he got his praying buddies together to petition the Lord for an answer--and God responded! The world has been full of such white noise for a long time--man's conventional wisdom will be put to the test and seen as lacking when divine wisdom comes on the scene.
"Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are His. He changes times and seasons; He sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him. I thank and praise you, O God of my fathers: You have given me wisdom and power, You have made known to us the dream of the king." Daniel 2:21-23
I discern that this is the time when God will set up kings and depose them. He will reveal what has been hidden and going on in darkness and dismantle it. He will reverse ungodly polices that have attempted to change times and season, and the wisdom of His light will be seen throughout the world with His servants being the ones to speak it to the people. Hidden no more, these Daniels will come forth to decree God's will to the nations--prophetic decrees to influence governments and peoples.
The second part of the passage in Chapter 2 that jumped out to me was verses 40-43)
"Finally, there will be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron--for iron breaks and smashes everything--and as iron breaks things to pieces, so it will crush and break all the others. Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of baked clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron in it, even as you saw iron mixed with clay. As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle. And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay."
We know historically that the Roman Empire was the original "fourth kingdom," but these days the European Union is that fourth kingdom revived. Therefore we can understand the prophetic word of the Lord--the European Union will not remain united, anymore than iron mixes with clay. Already we've seen the UK pull out with the Brexit vote, but this prophetic word tells us that much more breaking up is on the way. The "iron" that "crushes and breaks everything" has been crushing the European people with ungodly and overbearing policies--making things that are illegal, legal, and normalizing hate, violence, and oppression under the false piety of "open borders."
These many nation states have the God-given right to govern themselves and to not submit to the godless agenda of global elites, who only want the EU so they can harness and control them all for their own selfish agendas. In a week the final French election will take place, and while I have not received a direct prophetic word about its outcome like I did with Donald Trump, the Lord has told me to pray for Marine Le Pen for the past few months. The Holy Spirit has also said that her family name of "Le Pen" was significant; do you recall that after the Charlie Hebdo atrocity that Parisians held up pens for freedom of the press? They saw the attack as an attempt to control and silence the right people have to print opposing views in the press.
As much as this year has seen its share of turbulence already, I praise God for allowing the sifting of the white noise and for the raising up of His people in dire situations to speak His words of truth in the godless situations that we face daily. God is on the move this year--let's agree that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
