Dragnet Released

Greetings in the Lord! About three times in the past week the Lord has given me yet more passages of Scripture talking about the rise of Babylon these days and of them subduing countries. Two such passages were from 2 Chronicles 36 and 2 Kings 24. Both of those accounts tell of Babylon overrunning Judah and of the final days of Judah's kings, the destruction of the temple, and exile to Babylon. And while I understood the stories I was still yet unclear about the spiritual significance of this word and what exactly the Lord is talking about. But alas, the Lord speaks again the same word--the season is now for the rise of Babylon (United States) in the world--so I will continue to tell it as He gives it. Today's word is from the book of Habakkuk, chapters 1 & 2, and sheds more light on the word at hand: "Look at the nations and watch--and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told." "I AM raising up the Babylonians, that ruthless and impetuous people, who sweep across the whole earth, to seize dwellings not their own. They are a feared and dreaded people; they are a law to themselves and promote their own honor." "Their horses are swifter than leopards, fiercer than wolves at dusk. Their cavalry gallops headlong; their horsemen come from afar. They fly like an eagle swooping to devour; they all come intent on violence. Their hordes advance like a desert wind and gather prisoners like sand. They mock kings and scoff at rulers. They laugh at all fortified cities; by building earthen ramps they capture them." "Then they sweep past like the wind and go on--guilty people, whose own strength is their god." (Habakkuk 1:5-11). Interesting stuff, isn't it? Especially in light of all that is indeed happening right now in the world: nations uprooting their leaders and others stepping down, wars and rumors of wars and the cries and struggles of the masses growing louder like raging waves on a stormy ocean. The strong hand of the Lord is using the Babylonians again to execute judgement against evil rulers and nations whose consciouses have been seared by corruption, greed and violence. Even in places where it is currently "calm" and "peaceful" and "prosperous" pressure is building beneath the surface, just like the toxic gases and hot lava that collect and brew deep in the earth before a volcanic eruption--so it is happening! Today's word decrees again the rising up of the Babylonians on the global stage and of their exercising aggression and supremacy over the nations of the earth--to unwittingly carry out the purposes of the Lord. But do understand, it is not an indication of their right standing before the Lord; no, they are just the appointed instrument the Lord has chosen to use for these tasks. So, take note and keep watch--there is more to happen! Much more!!! Soon and very soon more wicked leaders will fall; oppressive and corrupt mentalities will be dealt with; even the earth, wind, and fire will consume...but listen and take heed of the soft, gentle voice of the Lord that will whisper in the midst of it all: "Woe to him who piles up stolen goods and makes himself wealthy by extortion! How long must this go on? Will not your creditors suddenly arise? Will they not wake up and make you tremble?..." "Woe to him who builds his house by unjust gain, setting his nest on high to escape the clutches of ruin! You have plotted the ruin of many peoples, shaming your own house and forfeiting your life....Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed and establishes a town by injustice! Has not the Lord Almighty determined that the people's labor is only fuel for the fire, that the nations exhaust themselves for nothing?..." "Of what value is an idol carved by a craftsmen? Or an image that teaches lies? For the one who makes it trusts in his own creation; he makes idols that cannot speak...Can it give guidance? It is covered with gold and silver; there is no breath in it. The Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth be silent before Him." (Habakkuk 2:6-7, 9-10, 12-13, 18-20). ~Be blessed and be a blessing.
