Heat to Purify, Wind to Sweep Clean

Greetings in the Lord!

Today while watching the news updates on CNN I saw images of fires burning up forests in southern Georgia and also heard about the wind storms and tornadoes blowing through Illinios, Ohio, Indiana, and Tennessee and the Spirit brought to my rememberance the words given on this site April 9th and 11th, both speaking of such natural disasters happening in those regions. One vision of a wind storm was given in Plainfield, Illinois, where a tornado just swept through.

"Who can speak and have it happen if the Lord has not decreed it? Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both calamities and good things come?" Lamentations 3:37-38.

I am also reminded of how the Lord is moving so quickly and fiercely this season--prophetic words coming to pass very quickly. Can you exalt His name even through the eye of a storm? And many will question these words because their understanding of the Lord is a narrow view focusing on blessings, prosperity, and peace. But in this season we are to allow ourselves to be stretched further in our understanding of His ways and allow our faith to grow deeper roots in Him and ultimately that we would "examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord." (Lamentation 3:40).

We can trust in Him, because God is good and His ways perfect. There is a growing separation between Light and darkness. Beloveds, do not be dismayed at the trials coming and that are here. It's as simple as this: make sure you are in the line handing out food and not in the receiving line. How? Follow the Lord and trust in His ways. So often in Syria the Lord told me to "guard your heart" and also referred to the passage about Jesus coming to bring division, not peace. Why? It is His holy separation. Light that has nothing to do with the darkness.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything....Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." James 1:2-4, 12.

~Be blessed and be a blessing.
