Checkmate!

Greetings in the Lord!

Today while in prayer the Holy Spirit put this bold and sensitive word on my heart:

"The enemy has overplayed his hand again.  Watch as I begin to reveal true motives about the meeting with Kim Jong Un.  Trump will retreat rapidly and make a checkmate move.  And the world will say--'Well played, Mr. Trump.'"

 Isaiah 43:11-12  "I, yes I, am the Lord, and there is no other Savior.  First I predicted your rescue, then I saved you and proclaimed it to the world.  No other foreign god has ever done this.  You are witnesses that I AM the only God," says the Lord.

Today's scripture will be a combination of Job 2 and Malachi 3:16-4:3---sometimes the Lord has to use two (or more!) scripture references for me to discern the word that He is trying to tell me! :) In Job 2 we read about the second test of Job: being faithful to God during a bodily affliction. In fact, it seems that much of the book of Job revolves around this question: How will a good man act, and what should he think, when he is tested by suffering? My Mouth Will Tell

Greetings in the Lord! As I was praying and asking the Lord about the word to give for today, He put on my heart to begin to share with you all the "God moments" that will be happening while I am in the Philippines ministering this month....and have already have begun! Last week, there were two such instances, but I will share only one for time's sake. The first one happened after I was done playing basketball at Iron Mt. high school. On the way out the door, I saw the janitor, and we made small talk as usual. However, on that day he asked me where I was going to next and that opened a door to tell him about the Philippines, and then on to witnessing about Christ to him. He was overjoyed! He said over the past year he had been thinking more about eternal life, and he didn't want to go to Hell. He Must Become Greater

Greetings in the Lord! Today's verse comes from John 3:26-30: "They came to John and said to him, 'Rabbi, that man that was with you on the other side of the Jordan--the one you testified about--well, he is baptizing, and everyone is going to him.' To this John replied, 'A man can receive only what is given him from heaven. You yourselves can testify that I said, "I am not the Christ but am sent ahead of him." The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom's voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. He must become greater; I must become less." In receiving this word today, I was struck by the sadness in the voices of John's followers as they asked him about Jesus. Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Isaiah chapters 46 & 47, especially 46:10-13: "I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I do. Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted, you who are far from righteousness. I am bringing my righteousness near, it is not far away; and my salvation will not be delayed. Faith To Move Mountains

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Matthew 17:18-20~ "Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment. Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, "Why coudn't we drive it out?" He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Nehemiah chapter 6, especially verses 10-14. "One day I went to the house of Shemaiah son of Delaiah, the son of Mehetabel, who was shut in at his home.
