#MeToo Promised in 2013
Greetings in the Lord!
Well, from time to time I like to go back and re-read older posts and see how they have been fulfilled. Sometimes it takes 2-5 years for things to pass, and seeing how we like instantaneous everything, we often do not go back to praise God for the good He has promised and fulfilled in our very midst. Take, for example, the post from June 27th, 2013 called "Game Changers are Up to Bat."
In that post, I shared a word for Hollywood--since God had sent me out there for a 5-day trip to prophecy a specific word to the elite of that industry.
"And that is where I want to begin today's word. I discern that this word is specifically for those "calling the shots" in Hollywood. They are the ones who have remained steadfast in reviling God, who have still "prospered" in the turbulence of the past 5 years, and who believe in their hearts that they are above reproach and boast arrogantly of their evil desires and wicked business practices. They continue to prey upon unsuspecting hopefuls and plot their destruction for profit and personal gratification--because it is in their power to do so.
The Lord hears the cries of your victims and declares, "No more!"
"But You, O God, do see trouble and grief; You consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless. Break the arm of the wicked and evil man; call him to account for his wickedness that would not be found out."
"The Lord is King forever and ever; the nations (peoples against God) will perish from His land. You hear, O Lord, the desire of the afflicted; You encourage them, and You listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more." Psalm 10:14-18.
Watch and see how this word plays out in the coming months. I fully expect to see some big name directors, producers, talent agencies, and the like be exposed for their predatory practices, while their victims will garner their strength in the Lord. The Lord will give them the courage and platform to speak out and expose their wickedness, and ultimately usher in some major changes in how Hollywood does business."
Praise God for that prophetic word! Obviously the #MeToo movement is a fulfillment of that word (about 48 months after it was given). The Lord is a keeper of promises, forever faithful and a lover of justice. Amen!
Another prophetic word from 2013 that keeps unfolding is the situation in Saudi Arabia. In the spring of that year, I posted a word about the then King Abdullah passing away in the summertime and that the Lord was going to raise up an "eaglet" to prominence in the royal household. I do believe this "eaglet" is the young Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ("MBS") that has really shaken things up there. On January 3, 2014 I posted another follow-up to this word:
"In late spring of 2013 I decreed a word of the Lord: "This will be the last summer for the king" of Saudi Arabia. On the heels of that would be great turmoil there. After a period of unrest and power struggles, an unlikely young man would eventually come to the throne and would, by the grace of God, have to defend the throne from innumerable foes. But before we get that far ahead, know that there will be big challenges coming to that nation. For just like Syria, the rampant wickedness long ingrained in the government and society will turn upon itself. The violence and hatred embraced and cultivated in Saudi culture and taught to other Muslims will turn inward, and outward. Watch out!
"Do not trust a neighbor; put no confidence in a friend. Even with her who lies in your embrace be careful of your words. For a son dishonors his father, a daughter rises up against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law----a man's enemies are the members of his own household." Micah 7:5-6.
Just like the hem of a garment or a seam of a shirt, the fabric of a society, even in the family unit itself, can and will come undone when wickedness is the thread holding it together. This is true of any and all nations that choose not to follow God's life-giving ways. But blessed is the man who clings to God and follows His paths."
On April 21st, 2018 there was heavy gunfire around the Royal Palace in Riyadh that lasted about an hour by most accounts, and a complete media blackout followed afterwards. Obviously, there is and has been some turmoil going on there, lots of royal bad blood happening and schemes to take the throne. I do believe God will protect that young eaglet and he will more sooner than later get the throne. But at any rate, I discern it is going to get pretty ugly and tense over there and that all of the strife and violence will end up being a catalyst for some major changes in their culture, causing a completely new social fabric to be woven. Some will hardly believe what they are hearing happening there and many Saudis will be tempted to fear in all the upheaval, but God will protect and guide the godly.
"You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are are fixed on You! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock. He humbles the proud and brings down the arrogant city. He brings it down to the dust. The poor and oppressed trample it underfoot, and the needy walk all over it. But for those who are righteous, the way is not steep and rough. You are a God who does what is right, and You smooth out the path ahead of them. Lord, we show our trust in You by obeying Your laws; our heart's desire is to glorify Your name...For only when You come to judge the earth will people learn what is right." Isaiah 26:3-9
