Word for 2016

Greetings in the Lord!

Well it's almost Christmas, joy to the world!  I enjoy the holidays and this year was no exception.  I truly am thankful to God for all His blessings in 2015, even as challenging as it was at times.  But this past year, in those trying times, I felt a breakthrough.  Yes, a deeper reliance on God and comfort in the storm that I had not felt before.  Praise God for that!  I imagine that many of you can relate to what I am saying: the winds haven't really dissipated much, but there is a sort of calm knowing to it all--that our God is indeed in control.

2016 will be much more of the same that we saw in 2015, I'm sorry to say.  Yet, for the righteous who have been spending time with their God, the rocking of the boat isn't quite as unsettling as it used to be.  People may criticize and say we are just becoming numb to the world's often chaotic and violent events, but I beg to differ,  I discern by the Holy Spirit that the people of God are indeed maturing in Him--turning to Him when the enemy hurls his filth and able to provide comfort for those in mourning.  Praise God!!

"I lift my eyes to the hills--where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip--He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will not slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you...The Lord will keep you from all harm--He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."  Psalm 121

That is the best part of the word for 2016--the Lord will watch over His people.  It doesn't mean that terrible events won't happen, on the contrary.  The second part of the word for 2016 tells us we are in for a pretty trying year, maybe like none many have ever experienced.  The prophetic word is based on Revelation 6 and it includes the releasing of the four horses that cause these events.  The white horse has a rider with a crown and bow who is bent on ungodly conquest--look to the folks in Syria/Iraq to begin to radically spread their presence worldwide in 2016.  The red horse has a rider with a big sword and he ushers in wrath and violence.  The black horse's rider carries a scale--economic downturn and famine, but oil and wine are untouched.  The last horse is pale and it means death--by sword, famine, plague and wild beasts.  "Wild beasts"?  Yes, they represent demons that kill by the witchcraft radical jihadists invoke (called wazaifas or 'sacred spells', if you are not familiar with Islamic witchcraft) to kill their enemies in addition to their swords, guns, and bombs.  And by bombs I mean chemical bombs, as that is what I discern is being planned for 2016.  In a nutshell, expect more violence; not a pretty picture.

So, people of God, dig in and hold firm to Psalm 121, for He alone is our help!  For in life, and death, we cling to the truth found only in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.  He alone has the power to preserve us and keep us with Him, no matter in life or death.  Jesus came to do the will of God, and what was God's will?  That He would lose none of all that the Father had given Him, but raise them up at the last day.  (John 6:39)  Therefore, stand firm in your God!  "If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all." Isaiah 7:9b

~Be blessed and be a blessing.
