Britain First, America Second

Greetings in the Lord!

Over the past couple of days the Lord has directed my attention over to the UK, specifically to the Britain First organization and to the Rotherham child abuse scandal that went public in August.  For those of you who don't know, Britain First is a group whose self-declared mission is to stir up patriotism amongst Britons to counter and verbally challenge the anti-British rhetoric and Sharia Law imposition of radical Muslims in England.  While this group is becoming quite popular in social media, they have turned some fellow Britons off with their intimidating "Christian patrols," which is meant to counter the "Muslim patrols," and by entering mosques to "talk" and evangelize to Muslims.  Their actions have been seen as too aggressive for the average British person, and wholly unwelcomed by most British Muslims, rightfully so.  Can you imagine if a Muslim went into our church and started proselytizing?  We would be annoyed.

However, Britain First has also gained immense respect for their boldness in condemning the Pakistani Muslim pedophile gangs that have been abusing white children specifically in their cities.  In Rotherham alone, it was reported that at least 1,400 children were sexually and physically abused by these gangs of grown men, while the authorities turned a blind eye for fear of being called racists.  The children were targeted and abused because of the devilish perspective by the perpetrators that non-Muslim females (no matter the age) are "fair game;" we see a similar ideology being carried out in Syria and Iraq towards captured women--they are sold or given into "marriage" like a prize according to what is stipulated in the Koran.  In general, of course, we know that rape is forbidden in the Koran, that is why these gangs had to "groom" them first, so they could claim "willingness" on the part of the victim and could justify their actions according to Sharia Law.  The Koran is full of such loop holes.

So, after watching and getting up to date with the mixed bag of events going on in the UK regarding radical Islam, the Lord led me to read Isaiah 7:6-9 to understand His perspective and gain insight.  It was the Lord's response to Judah's enemies who wanted to attack and take it over:

Aram, Ephraim and Remaliah's son have plotted your ruin, saying, "Let us invade Judah; let us tear it apart and divide it among ourselves, and make the son of Tabeel king over it."  Yet this is what the Sovereign Lord says: "'It will not take place, it will not happen....If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.'"

From this passage I can understand a couple of things.  First, any group that clings to and uses patriotism and nationalism to garner support will end up getting off track and people will get hurt.  Nationalism in and of itself causes conflicts.  Why?  Because it is just another form of idolatry.  We are to "Stand firm in our faith," not look to secure our country by our own means--the Lord will see to that.  God is faithful and will protect any country if they seek His face and go about their activities according to His word--and His word says 'God is love.'

So the second point is to walk in love--perfect love casts out all fear.  We will be able to boldly speak truth and live according to God's word when our hearts are full of love.  We won't be baited into unnecessary conflicts or be tormented by hate when we walk in love.  This is a spiritual battle, and walking in love is the most powerful tool at our disposal, yet so few realize its importance because we live according to the world's standards which sees love as weak.  Let me tell you, the wise man defeated an entire army; how did he do it?  By trusting in and living according to God's ways.  Do a study of the Albanian named Skanderbeg.  He alone brought the Ottoman Empire to its knees when they tried to overtake Albania, and he did so by the love and wisdom of God.

There was once a small city with only a few people in it.  And a powerful king came against it, surrounded it and build huge siege works against it.  Now there lived in that city a man poor but wise, and he saved the city by his wisdom...So I said, "Wisdom is better than strength."
The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.
Ecclesiastes 9:14-17

So, we must know that to meet the challenges of today's world, we must draw near to our God and seek His face; study His word and put it into action.  For in Christ Jesus lies our victory!  But, too many try to do it their way and will have unnecessary trouble, even possibly putting people's lives at risk.  So this is the word for Paul Golding, the leader of Britain First:

"Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good."  Ecclesiastes 9:18

It is a word to trust in God, like he claims they do, and let his actions be Christ-like.  In trusting in the Lord, he will get back on track with the good purposes the Lord has in store for him instead of trying to bully bullies.  This is an important word also for many Americans as they are becoming increasingly angry about the threats being made against our country.  Before you run for your shotgun, spend time with your Bible on your knees.  Let the Lord show you how you can come under His protection, join fellowship with other concerned Americans in a healthy, productive way, and let the Lord fill you with His wisdom to make good decisions in the days to come.  From the Lord comes every good thing, including peace, love and wisdom which are capable of tearing down the enemy's strongholds.  You will find that by standing firm in your faith, you will be like the house build on the Rock which did not fall when the rains came down and the floods rose up.

~Be blessed and be a blessing.
