Shake, Rattle and Roll
Greetings in the Lord!
It was just this past week that I realized another important prophetic word being fulfilled these days. Actually, it was last month, March, that it began...four years from the time the Lord gave the word. I was in Iceland in March of 2006, and the Lord had given a word at that time for the island nation:
"It's the dawn of a new age in Iceland! Look, over the mountains--a bright Light shines. Feel His warmth stirring and melting your hearts. Truth shall reign in the north! The Lord comes riding on His white horse to spear the red dragon, setting the captives free! In an instant, all is changed! Your hearts will burn for Me! Raging to the ends of the earth, proclaiming Truth, taming the earth once again--you are fearless, My Nordic children. You are greatly loved My tender ones. You are gifted and beautiful, polished for the day I unsheathe you to the world. A tall, silver, shining sword will come from the north to touch the ends of the earth. Truth! Truth! I call forth Truth from your lips. Once again the lonely house will bring reconciliation to the world. Peace is your name, O house. Peace, in the truth of my Name."
I also discerned at the time that the Lord was going to raise up 'prayer warriors' in Iceland from out of the blue, and as confirmation, actually met one such woman. She was as surprised as anyone about her 180 degree turnaround and was still somewhat unsure about what to make of her new found love in Jesus and desire to spend intimate, prayerful time with Him.
Lastly, the Lord led me to a bookstore in downtown Reykjavik where I read about a preacher in Iceland in the late 1700s. From my book "Fire of the Orange Ball" I write:
"He was a devout man that preached truth and repentance to the villages of eastern Iceland....he had a prophetic gifting and preached according to the words he received from the Lord. The Lord had shown him a vision of a large natural disaster striking Iceland and he tried to prepare the people. A volcano did erupt soon thereafter and a large part of the surrounding population died in Iceland. Also, because the volcano had clouded the sun and extreme famine set in, many Icelandic people left the island and re-settled in various countries around the world."
"I discern that a certain large and devastating disaster was going to happen again in Iceland, although I didn't know if it was a literal disaster, economic, or something that would happen in the spirit that would cause Icelanders to move and re-settle in other places. As always, I simply prayed that God's will be done."
Well, obviously Iceland has had both to deal with: devastating financial struggles as a nation and now a major volcano erupted--four years from the word He gave. And I believe that the four-year time frame is significant, too, as this year the Lord is speaking from His creation, which is what the number 4 represents in Jewish thought. In fact, the whole world has seen His creation shaking this year, from Haiti, to Chile, now to Iceland and all in-between! And after these shakings? God's grace will be abundantly poured out! Amen.
Can you see the signs of His times? "There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven." (Luke 21:11) But be not afraid! "When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." (Luke 21:28)
