Spreading Vine Uprooted for Turning to Egypt

Greetings in the Lord!

I hope everyone is having a great Fouth of July weekend! I wanted to share with you a word the Lord gave yesterday, one that pertains to our country's election race as it continues to roll on. It has been given to me before, but I did not have a good understanding of it until now.

The word is based on Ezekiel 17 and tells an allegorical story about an eagle (of Babylon) coming and taking a shoot off the tip of a tall cedar and replanting it in fertile soil. It grows well in the abundant water and "became a low, spreading vine." However, another eagle comes (of Egypt) and the "vine now sent out its roots toward him from the plot where it was planted and stretched out its branches to him for water."

"Say to them (the vine and its branches), "This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Will it thrive? Will it not be uprooted and stripped of its fruit so that it withers? All its new growth will wither. It will not take a strong arm or many people to pull it up by the roots. Even if it is transplanted, will it thrive? Will it not wither completely when the east wind strikes it--wither away in the plot where it grew?" Ezekiel 17:9-10.

~This story tells of a "king" whose vacillating royal policy led to his downfall. America had provided for a young, tall "shoot of a cedar tree" and planted him in fertile soil with abundant water and it grew well. However, a day came when that spreading vine turned its roots to drink of Egypt's waters--thus turning away from the sworn allegiance to "Babylon" and breaking his oath made before God. Because of his vacillating policies and wavering loyalities, he became weak and was uprooted, in acordance of the will of God.

Look for this to happen in the Presidential race. It is the Lord's will to uproot those that would not be in agreement with His plans for this nation and instead turn to Egypt for their "water" and support.

~Be blessed and be a blessing...and God bless America!
