Happy Thanksgiving

Greetings in the Lord!
Well, I wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! This is one of my favorite holidays of the year, and not just for the delicious meal! But seriously, I do enjoy taking a minute to share a special meal with loved ones and think about just how thankful I am for the many blessings the Lord bestows on us. We serve a great and generous God who never fails to provide for us--even more than we ask for. Praise Him!

May He continue to abundantly pour Himself into your lives until your every word, deed, and thought resonates and reflects the love of God.

This morning in prayer I saw a vision of a giant United States flag blowing in the wind.  It was waving proudly, shame was being removed; it was being blessed by the nations again and spoken of with kindness.  And Americans began to feel happy to wear its colors, proudly lifting their heads as their hearts welled up in thankfulness to God for His many blessings on this country.  I saw people from all walks of life, skin color, and language start praising God for the United States. Kings Will Bring Gifts

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Psalm 68:28-33: "Summon your power, O God; show us your strength, O God, as you have done before. Because of your temple at Jerusalem kings will bring you gifts. Rebuke the beast among the reeds, the herd of bulls among the calves of the nations. Humbled, may it bring bars of silver. Scatter the nations who delight in war. Envoys will come from Egypt; Cush will submit herself to God. Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth, sing praise to the Lord, to Him who rides the ancient skies above, who thunders with mighty voice." ~This word is a cry out to God to command His power to act, to show Himself mighty among His enemies by laying them low. In submission, His enemies will bring gifts to acknowledge God's glory; they will surrender to Him who protects His inheritance. Go to the Inner Rooms and Pray Until Disaster has Swept By

Greetings in the Lord~ Over the past couple of weeks I've received warnings from the Lord to pray that "watchmen would return to their post," meaning, those prayerful believers whose role it is to pray and see danger before it comes and release an alarm to the Body of Christ.  Specifically, I felt led to pray for the Western Coast of America and as I prayed for God's protection to our border and for watchmen to see the danger coming, I had a vision.  In this vision, it was the dark of night and from the black waves below I saw a lighthouse on a jagged shoreline shining a beam of light over the waters to warn ships, and search out activity in the darkness below.  There were men--invaders, silently approaching the land, trying carefully to enter the shoreline unseen.  I felt that it was the Pacific Northwest of the United States, Portland/Seattle areas and that these invaders had taken the northern route from Russia to get here, although I'm...

Jezebel Thrown From the Heights

Greetings in the Lord! Today's message is a strong word and directly speaks to false prophets--those who have called themselves to speak and do not speak the Lord's words. Those who persist in telling lies, speaking from their own imaginations, persecuting and rebelling against true prophets and anointed leaders, and manipulating others for their own financial and emotional needs/gains. Also, and specifically, this word was given over a year ago to a certain "prophetess" in the north and she still will not depart from the Jezebel spirit that she walks with and influences her. 2010: Joshua Moves Forward

Greetings in the Lord! 2010 is here-- yippee ! But before we move on, how many of you were wondering if you were going to get out of 2009 in one piece? Me too, I must admit. It was a curve ball right from the beginning when I found myself grappling with a sudden job loss. And while the Lord had been preparing me for that to happen, I resisted it every step of the way. Why? I believed it was my "dream job." Yes, I was happy as a bug in a rug and then it was gone! In a blink of an eye--with salt thrown in for good measure--I left blurry-eyed and angry. "It was an assignment, not a career move," the Holy Spirit confided to me. "Well, OK, if you say so," I said, but in my heart was sad and mad and learned again another very important lesson with God: Sometimes worldly loss produces spiritual gain. He Makes Wars Cease...

Greetings in the Lord! Well, I wrote not too long ago from 2 Samuel 3, about how the war between the house of Saul and the house of David lasted a long time...and people wrote back to me confirming that their "war" was indeed taking a long time!  Yes, many of us are tired and weary from battling against the schemes of the devil these past months, and even though we know we are growing stronger in the Lord because of our trials, we still can't help but to pray at times, "Lord, are we there yet?" Well, today's word is one of encouragement.  It is from Psalm 46, and the verses that speak so loudly to me today are 9-11: He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear, He burns the shields with fire.  "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Feet Carrying Good News in the Mountains

Greetings in the Lord! Well, often the New Year can usher in more than a change of mind and heart, but also a change in location as well. As of January 12t h , I have moved to Korea to teach English for 2010. And what a pleasant surprise it has turned out to be! With a group of 11 Americans I made my way over and am busy teaching at an English school for Korean students--elementary all the way up to businessmen and Korean teachers in professional development. Our school is nestled in the mountains and has a pretty view from any angle, but is still conveniently located near to a large metropolitan city. Our students come from all over the country,however, and usually live on campus for a week or more. Currently our school is being replicated in several other countries for its unique teaching style and philosophy--complete English immersion in a pseudo city-like environment.
