Happy Thanksgiving

Greetings in the Lord!
Well, I wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! This is one of my favorite holidays of the year, and not just for the delicious meal! But seriously, I do enjoy taking a minute to share a special meal with loved ones and think about just how thankful I am for the many blessings the Lord bestows on us. We serve a great and generous God who never fails to provide for us--even more than we ask for. Praise Him!

May He continue to abundantly pour Himself into your lives until your every word, deed, and thought resonates and reflects the love of God.

Short Waiting Time

Greetings in the Lord~ Today's word comes from Ezekiel 12.  It is a passage that tells us Ezekiel was commanded by God to act as though he was going into exile, including eating his food in fear, climbing through a hole in the wall to get out, and carrying away only what he could carry in his hands.  The Lord was making him a sign to the Israelites who were watching him that they were indeed going to be overrun by their enemies and going into exile soon...very soon.  Ezekiel had already told them this was going to happen and they refused to listen to  him, even saying things like: "Time passes, and prophecies come to nothing," and, "He is talking about the distant future; his visions won't come to pass for a long, long time!"   But to those comments the Lord gives His word: "The time has come for every prophecy to be fulfilled!" The Ides of March Approach

Greetings in the Lord! Yesterday and today I received Scripture verses from Isaiah 11 and Romans 3.  I took some time to ponder about those particular chapters for they are fairly weighty passages.  Then this morning I heard the Holy Spirit say, "Ides of March;" that got my attention real quick because that is a time-sensitive reference.  The Ides of March is the 15th of March traditionally.  So it seems that we are on the cusp of a new season entering in. Now, while I am still in the process of discerning the fullness of what the Holy Spirit is saying, I felt the urgency to begin to put into print the direction I feel the Spirit is leading on this, namely, that we are going to be encountering some "turbulence" in the days ahead in the form of God's justice being carried out, which in effect, will pave the way for a period of relative calm and relief for those who have been oppressed and mistreated.  In the history of the Ides of March as it pertained to Jul...

Instruments of Righteousness

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word is quite amazing when you consider that I was praying for the persecuted Christians all around the world.  I was asking the Lord, "Lord, we read that when the early Church was being heavily persecuted, that it had the reverse effect of growing the Church's numbers--why are we not seeing that now in Syria and Iraq and other places?"  But the Lord responded with this in my heart: "You will see that.  Soon, at the sight of the violent, needless killing of my innocents, conversions will break out among the enemies' camp, so much so, that they will begin to shield the atrocities from their own ranks, fearful that many will leave the fight at the sight of the injustices.  And the 'mystery of persecution' will bear its perfect fruit in those places." Season of Conquest and Liberation

Greetings in the Lord! This word comes from Joshua 10 and Isaiah 42.  The theme of these taken together is of conquest and liberation--all at the hand of God.  In Joshua 10, the story begins with five kings in the south of Canaan becoming worried at the recent victories of this people called Israel, and they decide to ban together against them in battle.  Well, God had other ideas. "The Lord said to Joshua, 'Do not be afraid of them; I have given them into your hand.  Not one of them will be able to withstand you.'"  Joshua 10:8 The battle began and after one long day--made longer by God suspending time for a while so they could finish the job in one campaign--Israel and Joshua was victorious by the hand of God.  The Bible names these five kings by name: Adoni-Zedek, Hoham, Piram, Japhia, and Debir, as if to single them out so Israel would never forget these sure victories.  The time had begun for conquest and liberation.  And a...

No More Politically Correct Prophecy

Greetings in the Lord! I want to share with you about a recent, and very relevant experience and word from the Lord. It began a week ago with a dream. In this dream, a very good-looking uncircumcised man came to me holding out a piece of paper in his hand for me to take. The situation seemed harmless and attractive, but a voice from behind me said, "He is an enticing spirit." Immediately I became angry and yelled at him in Jesus' name to leave and never come back. Upon waking from that dream I opened my Bible to 2 Kings 12. That is a story about an enticing spirit coming to all of King Ahab's "prophets" and putting lies in their mouths of success in battle (telling King Ahab what he wanted to hear). I knew it was confirmation of the dream's meaning and that the Lord was preparing me for an "enticing spirit" (but I did not know who, what, when, or where). Small Beginnings, Big Endings

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word is from Matthew 13:31-33; two parables about the kingdom of God. "Jesus told them another parable: 'The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches.' He told them still another parable: 'The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough.' The word from the Lord today is that 1) the big projects, His projects, that you've begun to understand and presently are undertaking may seem to you as insignificant, not at all the vision the Lord has put in your heart.
