Happy Thanksgiving

Greetings in the Lord!
Well, I wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! This is one of my favorite holidays of the year, and not just for the delicious meal! But seriously, I do enjoy taking a minute to share a special meal with loved ones and think about just how thankful I am for the many blessings the Lord bestows on us. We serve a great and generous God who never fails to provide for us--even more than we ask for. Praise Him!

May He continue to abundantly pour Himself into your lives until your every word, deed, and thought resonates and reflects the love of God.

My Intercessor and My Friend

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word is from Job 16:19-21: "Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high. My intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God; on behalf of a man he pleads with God as a man pleads for his friend." ~I love those verses so much. How awesome it is that Job, which most scholars agree was the first book of the Bible to be written, told us of such an intimate relationship we could have with Jesus, as "intercessor" and "friend." That even in our darkest moments He is there to comfort and to be our "witness" to God the Father that we are indeed His child, known and loved. The verses tell of no promises that our current circumstances will change; instead, Job is resigned to the fact that he would probably die before he was vindicated in front of his friends who were falsely accusing him of unrighteousness. Praise Report

Greetings in the Lord! Today I feel led to share with everybody the great and awesome things the Lord has done this week! * The meeting with the university students was totally blessed! It was such a joy to meet with them, hear what the Lord has put in their hearts, and share the encouraging prophetic words from the Lord about the powerful things the Lord will be doing in and through them this year as the Holy Spirit is poured out in revival. * At work, in addition to one co-worker being healed, another one was delivered this week from the New Age/occult. Then, the day after she got rid of all her fortune-telling items, etc. and gave her heart to the Lord, her husband, which had been laid off for several months, got recalled back to work out of the blue. Praise God! I Spy with My Little Eye...

Greetings in the Lord! I want to share with you a dream and prophetic word the Lord gave me early this morning, as it expands on a comment He made to me last week regarding a young man I know. The dream was this: I was having dinner with 3 people, two older ones and the young man. I was listening as the two older ones were laughing and saying, "This young man has had more women around the world than most rock stars!" The young man was smiling and proud of himself, too. "Yeah, it's gross," I said, obviously showing my disapproval to the young man and two adults, who by the way, called themselves 'Christian'. God Hears the Cry of the Needy and Gives Wisdom

Greetings in the Lord, Well, in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, now just a tropical storm, praise the Lord for sparing Florida and the south eastern coast of the US.  And we continue to pray for a speedy rebuilding of Houston and other areas of the Caribbean that are in their clean up after a volatile week in tropical weather, and for their safety as lawless hooligans take advantage of the chaos for personal gain. Today's word comes from Psalm 102.  It is a cry from the psalmist for God's intervention and wisdom in a time when he was being taunted by wicked foes far and wide, from those who would love to see his defeat. Greetings in the Lord! Today's word is quite amazing when you consider that I was praying for the persecuted Christians all around the world.  I was asking the Lord, "Lord, we read that when the early Church was being heavily persecuted, that it had the reverse effect of growing the Church's numbers--why are we not seeing that now in Syria and Iraq and other places?"  But the Lord responded with this in my heart: "You will see that.  Soon, at the sight of the violent, needless killing of my innocents, conversions will break out among the enemies' camp, so much so, that they will begin to shield the atrocities from their own ranks, fearful that many will leave the fight at the sight of the injustices.  And the 'mystery of persecution' will bear its perfect fruit in those places." Greetings in the Lord! You know what they say, "The more things change, the more they stay the same."  It's true, really.  We think we are so innovative and modern, but really, it is just the same ole thing done a little differently or faster, or more pervasively.  Take for example, internet spying. Whether it's done by governments, militaries, private businesses, individuals, or prepubescent hackers, it's not a new concept. Everybody thinks that if they can steal a little secret knowledge, they will gain some elusive advantage over someone else...or these days they like to pretend, to keep us "safe."  From who, pray tell?  A thief is a thief no matter the motive.  A bully is a bully no matter the circumstance.  Internet spying is about trying to obtain control and some advantage, plain and simple.  It's just a different frontier to harness and ride in our quest to conquer all.  Oh, brother!
