Happy Thanksgiving

Greetings in the Lord!
Well, I wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! This is one of my favorite holidays of the year, and not just for the delicious meal! But seriously, I do enjoy taking a minute to share a special meal with loved ones and think about just how thankful I am for the many blessings the Lord bestows on us. We serve a great and generous God who never fails to provide for us--even more than we ask for. Praise Him!

May He continue to abundantly pour Himself into your lives until your every word, deed, and thought resonates and reflects the love of God.

Greetings in the Lord! God is so fun...today's scripture is from Hebrews 12:14-29 and completely picks up where we left off of from yesterday's scripture in Deuteronomy 5. :) "Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. The Lord Has Stirred Hearts To Build

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Haggai 1:13-15: "Then Haggai, the Lord's messenger, gave this message of the Lord to the people: "I am with you," declares the Lord. So the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of the whole remnant of the people. They came and began to work on the house of the Lord Almighty, their God, on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month in the second year of King Darius." ~What project has the Lord stirred your heart to undertake? Know for sure that He says, "I am with you." Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from 1 Peter 4:12-19~ "Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed. Unless the Lord Builds It

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Psalm 19:7-11 and Isaiah chapter 46, especially verses 1-2: "The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward." "Bel bows down, Nebo stoops low; their idols are borne by beasts of burden. The images that are carried about are burdensome, a burden for the weary. Scatter the Fruitless Fig Trees

Greetings in the Lord! One of the things I've learned very well over the years is that God's timing is not our timing. I know, it's like, "You can say that again, sister!" right? ha Yeah, it's hard to wait...for good things, that is. For the possibility of unpleasant things to happen we can appreciate delay, hoping it never to come to pass, but not so for good things. We want them now. God's word speaks so often of timing, seasons, He calls it, that a special anointing was given to the tribe of Issachar to be able to discern the seasons of God. So that leads me to today's word from Psalm 68 and Mark 11:12-14 and verses 20-21) The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Hard-Pressed for New Oil

 Greetings in the Lord, Today's word come from Mark 13.  It is a chapter where Jesus talks about the End Times -- what to expect, and what to be watchful for, as in particular signs.  He compares the whole progression to a birthing process, with each stage being like "birthing pains."  It's interesting that He uses that allegory, as it will culminate in His Second Coming, like a second birth into the world.  Only this time, it will be to establish His order on the earth, to "send out His angels to gather His chosen ones from all over the world -- from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven."  While the "and heaven" part is worthy of exploration, I'm getting ahead of myself.  Today's word really focuses on verses 9-13, a short section dealing with the coming persecutions that the Church will undergo.
