Keep Your Tongue From Evil

Today's verse comes from Psalm 34:11-14.
"Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it."

  Greetings in the Lord~ During prayer today, I discerned some details about the previous word I published that I would like to pass along.  In short, I kept hearing in my heart, "When in doubt, throw them out."   It is in regards to the people around DJT--and others, who may have a big target on their backs during this end-of-year sacrificial time.  The meaning is clear: throw out those around you that are giving off small hints of treachery and little peculiarities that cause you to do a double take.  For I discern, there is a chain of betrayal at work--first is the one who knows the schedule very well, even a planner of sorts; their job is just to relay that schedule to others.  In that crowd it becomes a slippery slope with one, one who has a double and greedy heart who has already set up a way to hide and re-invest the money quickly--crypto, block chain? Greetings in the Lord, Today's word comes from Psalm 46: God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the Earth give way in the mountains fall into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with it surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Jeroboam Hangs in the Balance

Greetings in the Lord~ You know how sometimes, when we have one disaster come along and we think it is the biggest problem that we've ever had to deal with, but later on something else comes up that makes that earlier "disaster" pale by comparison?  Yeah, we all can relate to that.  Well, at the moment, some pretty big situations are hanging in a balance and decisions have to be made, albeit, behind closed doors, far from view (and input) of the common person.  Yes, certain national leaders are milling over a potential scenario--would a "kinder, gentler North Korea" be in our best interest?  A prettier face giving up more control and access and giving less headaches?  Would it be enough to change the narrative of a stupid mistake made in a lab?  Will others play along for the sake of harmony--political, economic and otherwise?    I'm the type of person that really enjoys competition, whether a board game, cards, sports, you name it.  A go...

I Sing Under the Shadow of Your Wings

Greetings in the Lord~ Today's word comes from Ecclesiastes 7:1-9.  This book of wisdom in the Bible sometimes is hard to understand, in that, it has verses that seem contrary to conventional wisdom, and even appears to contradict itself from prior verses.  But much can be gleaned, nevertheless. "A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth. It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting, for death is the destiny of everyone; the living should take this to heart. Frustration is better than laughter, because a sad face is food for the heart. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of pleasure. Open Our Eyes that We Might See

Greetings in the Lord~ Well, President Trump is just about finished with his tour of Asia, and despite what many "news" sources in the US will say, it went very well for the President.  There were many business deals signed to help with the global and regional economies, while issues of security, business ethics, and fair trade were also addressed in a productive and frank manner.  The internet chatter has been overwhelming positive for Trump in the countries where he visited for the most part, and I can confirm the support and respect he has garnered among the Chinese where I am.  Pretty much the verdict is this--he tells it like it is and doesn't back down.  He wins people's respect for his candor and strength.  Such a different report coming from the liberal left in the US!  And I've noticed something else, that the more distant one gets from those fake news sources geographically, the more sad and pathetic they sound.  From the Far...

Babylon Falling!

Greetings in the Lord~ Well, it is now past Easter and true to God's word, we are seeing people creep out--or come running out--of their safe dwellings to join the world in all its splendor again...even if our governors still haven't given the go-ahead yet! ha  Anyway, very soon indeed it will be back to business and hopefully we all will have grown and healed in our spirits from our time with the Lord during the isolation.  And too, may we spend some time celebrating the lives of those we've lost during the viral outbreak and give honor to all those on the front line, in whatever capacity they served their nation.  They made sure that we had the health services and daily food and shelter everyone needed to get through this natural disaster, and for the caring and responsive leadership that helped to guide, inform, and provide for us during this hard time as well.  And most of all, I thank God for His wisdom, grace and mercy and restorative power that will astound ...

Yo, Ho, Ho and a Bottle of Rum

Greetings in the Lord~ Well, this week is more of the same from the Lord; prophetic words addressing corruption, exposing sin, and recalibrating the land in the US, both in and outside of the American Church. This morning I had a dream in which I was walking along a trail in the woods which connected two gathering sites some distance apart.  I was alone on the trail in this dense forest and was enjoying my walk when I heard footsteps running up behind me.  Scared, I quickly hid in the brush and waited to see who it was.  A big man wearing a bright blue jacket came running by, and in his hand he held a long leash connected to a much smaller, weaker man that he was almost dragging along as his captive.
