Keep Your Tongue From Evil

Today's verse comes from Psalm 34:11-14.
"Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it."

Today's word comes from 1 Samuel 12:19-25: "The people all said to Samuel, "Pray to the Lord your God for your servants so that we will not die, for we have added to all our other sins the evil of asking for a king." "Do not be afraid," Samuel replied. "You have done all this evil; yet do not turn away from the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart. Do not turn away after useless idols. Swing the Sickle, For the Harvest is Ripe

Greetings in the Lord! Well, there has been a lot of teaching among evangelical and prophetic circles in the American Church about the significance of the four blood moons coinciding with the Jewish festivals.  Historically, there have been major events involving Israel during this time (you can learn more by watching or reading what John Hagee and others are teaching on YouTube or in their books), but I will only share what the Lord has shown me. Around 1AM I saw the fullness of the lunar eclipse, the blood moon last night and marveled at its unique sight.  As I stood there looking at it, the familiar question came to my heart, "What does it mean?"  I really haven't studied it too much and every time I hear people teaching on it I am still left with that same question, unanswered in my pondering heart. Fallen Rock Stars

Greetings in the Lord! I'm a Generation X-er, which basically means I grew up with what is now called "Classic Rock." I remember when John Bonham of Led Zeppelin died, and of the whole occult heyday prevalent in rock music at that time, and afterwards.  I remember my brother saying, "Let's play this record backwards and see if we can hear messages," and we'd spin it around counter-clockwise to hear weird, unintelligible noise.  I recall leafing through the guitar and heavy metal magazines that my brother got and crinkling my nose at all the dark, occult images that many bands used to promote themselves.  He would tell me of all the bands that worshipped Satan publicly, onstage at times, and of how they lived their lives offstage--drinking, drugging, orgies and the like, usually rounded out the picture.  It never appealed to me, but I used to wonder, "Why would they follow the devil?  That is asking for trouble."  It nev...

Word for South Africa

Greetings in the Lord!  It's been another long time since my last post--sorry about that!  This time I've been down in Cape Town, South Africa seeing what God is up to down there...amazing things!  First off, I just have to tell all of you that the whole Cape area is absolutely beautiful!  If you ever have the chance to go there let it be on your list of to-do's.  You can see God's handiwork everywhere--in the vibrant sea waters, the majestic rugged mountains, in the lush wine lands, and on the smiling faces of the new generation of people gracing the landscape.  Even the varied wildlife and marine animals found all around reflect His goodness and provision.  Praise God! But of course the most encouraging thing I saw was a maturing and Spirit-filled new generation of people.  Its been nearly 20 years since the end of apartheid and this new generation does not carry the scars of the form...

White Stone With a New Name

Greetings in the Lord! For the past couple of weeks, when I think of Donald Trump I immediately see a giant wall assembling in the spirit!  Yep, and the bricks are colored white and they represent people--American voters as they get behind him.  They are building a wall of defense, for our walls have been torn down, especially these past eight years. The wall is white, which stands for purity, truth, and goodness.  But there have been many things to tear down this wall--gay marriage, legalization of marijuana, open borders, and so on.  Enough is enough, already, and one by one, Americans are finding their voice, rising to their feet, gathering at the gate (in Biblical language) to contend for what is right and good and godly.  I'm not saying that the Donald is godly--but I do believe he is the Cyrus that the Lord in His mercy is giving us to get back on track, not prosperous, per say, but to fight the good fight and be champions of integrity in business, gov...

Fertile Soil Produces Amazing Harvest

Greetings in the Lord~ Today's word comes from Mark 4, especially verses 21-25: Then Jesus asked them, "Would anyone light a lamp and then put it under a basket or under a bed?  Of course not!  A lamp is placed on a stand, where the light will shine.  For everything that is hidden will eventually be brought into the open, and every secret will be brought to light.  Anyone with ears to hear should listen.
