And the Walls Came Tumbling Down

Greetings in the Lord~

Well, it's been a little more than a month since I've last written and the predicted turbulence of 2023 has begun like the many tornadoes and disasters that keep happening in the U.S.  There doesn't seem to be any rest for the weary, does there?  But then again, Andrew Tate was released from jail and the campaigning of DJT continues to gather momentum despite their many efforts to "lock him up," so there are sunny days to enjoy.  In fact, there is much more to come.

Today's prophetic word directs our attention to Nahum 3 and Joshua 6.  Both are stories of pagan stronghold cities being overturned, and that by the hand of God!  Each story is a little different and contributes varying prophetic nuggets for us to enjoy today.  Let's start with the fall of Jericho, found in Joshua 6.

In this story, there is no doubting that God gave the Israelites not only their unique war strategy, but the amazing victory as well.  They simply were told by God to march around the city, once a day, carrying the the Ark of the Covenant and blowing their trumpets, then go back to their camp.  On the seventh day, as we all know, they were to circle seven times around the city doing the very same things, and when Joshua gave them the signal, they would all shout -- and the walls fell down!  Now that's an anointed battle cry!  So too, watch and see how the people of God will soon find their voice and release an anointed utterance -- far different from the demonic ones that keep screaming profanity and anger in the faces of the righteous.  No, the sound of the Lord will cause walls to fall very soon and the wicked will scatter to the darkness and be silenced in defeat.

Another interesting thing about the fall of Jericho is that it was aided by a resident of the city itself -- Rahab.  Now, we have seen over and over actions and policy changes and insane social narratives being pushed in the U.S. by corrupt officials and CEOs, down to paid agitators and rioters alike.  Oh sure, at the ground level there are many there because they choose to be there, for they have embraced an antichrist system and all of its inglorious idolatries and mindsets.  But at the upper, decision-making level, many had to be bribed, coerced, or blackmailed into making those changes, for that is the hallmark of how the antichrist works.  But how funny that God turns the tables in this story!  One resident in the pagan city recognizes the move of God in the land and knows He cannot be stopped, so she decides to join in to fulfill the call of God on her life.  This is a hallmark of God -- He touches one heart at a time and uses the weak and unassuming to do great exploits for Him.  Classic!

I fully expect big lies and corruption, bribes and deception that has been done in the U.S. over the past 6-10 years to come undone and be exposed, by one truth-teller after another.  Just a chipping away; just a circling of the cities with God's sound in the air; just one obedient step after another.   Kind of exciting, isn't it?

In addition to the miraculous fall of Jericho story, the scriptural passage in Nahum is also pretty cool.  Here, we read about the foretelling of the fall of Nineveh -- an empire at the time it was written.  They ruled by extreme violence and cruelty and lavished in their greed and witchcraft.  This was a truly wicked city.  All of the surrounding nations feared them because of their ruthlessness, but were also ensnared by the seductions of their witchcraft and envious of their worldly riches.  Many a merchant flocked to their side to cash in, too, as Nineveh's elite was all about getting rich and rolling in luxury.  No matter how corrupt they were, business was booming in Nineveh--oppression and plundering was lucrative indeed.

However, in Nahum 3, the prophet decrees their fall is at hand -- for God Himself will tear them down:

"I am against you," declares the Lord Almighty...."I will show the nations your nakedness and the kingdoms your shame.  I will pelt you with filth, I will treat you with contempt and make you a spectacle.   All who see you will flee from you and say, 'Nineveh is in ruins--who will mourn for her?'  Where can I find anyone to comfort you?" Nahum 3:5-7.

The passage goes on to talk about all of the false security Nineveh had had in her many strong alliances, supposed "wise counselors," abundant resources and overall strength in numbers -- yet they would fall!  Their supporters, officials, mighty men and financial backers will all flee like locusts when the brightness of the sun arises.  Their rioting supporters will be aghast and clap their hands over their mouths as perplexity and fear overwhelm them.  What a sweet day that will be!

So, today's word is yet another prophetic utterance foretelling the downfall of the Biden corrupt regime (offspring of the Obama era) and their perverse agendas, for truly they embody this spirit.  Their idolatries must be felled--for it is time.  Time for the Mighty One, the Lord God Almighty, to come on the scene and have His way.

So, in the name of Jesus Christ, we say, "Lord, have Your way!  Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Let what the enemy meant for harm be turned into something for our good."  We decree: "That no weapon formed against us will prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, You shall condemn, for that is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from the Lord."  Amen and amen.

~Be blessed and be a blessing
