Darkness Over Silicon Valley

Greetings in the Lord~

This prophetic word comes from Amos 7:7-9 and it has to do with God showing Amos a vision of a wall being measured against a plumb line.
     And the Lord replied, "I will test My people with this plumb line.  I will no longer ignore all their sins.  The pagan shrines of your ancestors will be ruined, and the temples of Israel will be destroyed; I will bring the dynasty of King Jeroboam to a sudden end."  Amos 7:8b-9

A plumb line is used to make sure of the straightness of a wall, for it will eventually fall if it is not straight.  This prophetic word is in reference to the high tech and social media giants of Silicon Valley -- the Lord is saying that He is going to test them to see if they are true to plumb, i.e. if  they are walking in integrity in their business practices and dealings with people.  Already, it is beyond obvious to most people that this is NOT the case (especially given the most recent action of conservative voices being unfairly banned from social media), but when the Lord holds the plumb line, then you can be sure that any crookedness will be dealt with completely.

In fact, not only does this Scripture reference say that "the dynasty of King Jeroboam will be brought to a sudden end," but it also talks about temples and shrines being ruined,that is, all of the trust people have put into these false idols will be lost.  People will realize the fallacy of their misplaced trust and turn away from these idols and places of worship, i.e. social media platforms.

After the Lord gave me this prophetic word on Saturday (5/4/2019), He also gave me this vision on Sunday while I prayed about the prophetic word.  From the sky above, I saw the area of Silicon Valley and watched as a dense darkness rolled in from the sea to cover the land there.  At first, I thought it was fog coming in, but soon the Lord began to speak about this darkness -- it was a spiritual darkness full of confusion and gloom and angst and futility as the once skillful in this industry became unable to understand even the most basic of principles relating to that industry; in fact, confusion and aliment set in over all the affairs of their life, day and night, and the Lord said, "There is no peace for the wicked."   

 Then I realized that this darkness was similar to the type of plague of darkness that came over Egypt back in the days of Moses.  Not only were the Egyptians unable to work or move about because of the darkness, but a distinction was made between Egypt and Israel as there was regular sunlight where the Israelites lived.  So it could very well be that a distinction will be made among the people within this high tech industry -- those that know and follow the Lord and whose ways are upright will not be affected by the darkness.  Interesting thought, huh?

Anyway, I pray that the Lord's perfect will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Amen

Today's word comes from Isaiah 41:14-29, of which I will share selected verses: "Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I Myself will help you," declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. Strong Hand of the Lord Moving Now

Beware of Karen and the Nicolaitans

Greetings in the Lord~ Last week the Methodists as a denomination met at their General Conference in Charlotte, NC to discuss and vote on many matters, including the controversial topic of allowing actively practicing homosexual persons to be ordained as pastors.  The vote was pretty overwhelmingly in support of that issue. I Have Faith

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word is from 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2: "Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith." Have you ever had a conversation with a non-believer and they say, "I have faith, just not in God," or something along those lines. I am surprised at how often I have heard that! Actually, the definition of faith also includes the characteristics of trust and loyalty, so faith is more like a relationship between beings rather than a trust in a belief system, laws of nature, or inanimate objects. So, what they mean to say is that they have put their trust in something or many things other than God. These misplaced trusts are what they rely on instead of the Lord.
