Sun of Righteousness

Greetings in the Lord!

Over the holiday season I spent some blessed time in California, not far from Laguna Beach area.  During this time the Lord showed me some wonderful things, altogether different from what I saw at the end of November in a very similar vision.  At that time, I saw storm clouds coming off the coast of California, tornadoes over the sea and yes, it was a short time after that southern California experienced those weather phenomenon.  But that's not the end of the story.

At the end of December I saw another vision off of the coast of California, in what looked to be the same place as before, and now the sun shone brightly, warmly on the land.  The water was calm and the day was so beautiful and serene that I asked the Lord, "What am I seeing?"

He said, "It's the sun of righteousness," referring to the passage in Malachi 4.  I thought about the differences in the two visions--one of tumultuous storms and people running for safety and the other of complete equanimity and beauty.  Was it that the prayers of the saints brought about this change?  I went to read Malachi 4 for understanding:

"Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace.  All the arrogant and evildoer will be stubble, and that day that is coming will set them on fire," says the Lord Almighty.  "Not a root or a branch will be left to them."
"But for you who revere My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings.  And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.  Then you will trample down the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I do these things," says the Lord Almighty.
"Remember the law of My servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.  See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes.  He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse."

This passage tells us some things about 2015, that we can expect great things for those who draw near to God, revere His presence and keep His commands.  Blessings, rewards, healing, reconciliation, and much more.  But the year will be difficult for those who refuse God, the Lord is allowing them to be sifted this next year--to return hearts back to Him, ultimately.  The visions were not contradictory after all, but rather, two portrayals of the year ahead depending on what road you choose to take.  God is not done with America, in fact, He will bring revival and healing in His wings for those who choose to seek refuge there--amen.  How good and pleasant it is to serve the Lord; His yoke is light, His burden easy.  People of God, get ready to shine in 2015.

~Be blessed and be a blessing
