God Is a Mighty Tempest of Justice

Greetings in the Lord!

This morning I turned to Isaiah 3, a passage that was given in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.  It is quite descriptive and accurate for that storm, even citing what would take place in the days and weeks that followed.  So, naturally as I read that again this morning I was wondering, "Is another storm coming?"  And the answer that I discern in my heart is "Yes.  Another cleansing wind comes."

Immediately I saw a map of the western coast of Mexico and the United States and saw a huge swirling mass to the west of these lands.  It moved from the central through the northwest part of Mexico and into parts of California, Arizona, New Mexico and continued up through Colorado and over to Texas, Oklahoma, and beyond.

Isaiah 3:10) "Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.
Woe to the wicked!  Disaster is upon them!  They will be paid back for what their hands have done."

"The Lord takes His place in court; He rises to judge the people.  The Lord enters into judgment against the elders and leaders of His people: 'It is you who have ruined My vineyard; the plunder from the poor is in your houses.  What do you mean by crushing My people and grinding the faces of the poor?' declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty." Isaiah 3:13-15.

"In that day the Lord will snatch away their finery....Instead of fragrance there will be a stench; instead of a sash, a rope; instead of well-dressed hair, baldness; instead of fine clothing, sackcloth; instead of beauty, branding....The gates of Zion will lament and mourn; destitute, she will sit on the ground."  Isaiah 3:18,24-26.

Well, after I wrote that out I wanted to pray some more about it and get confirmation from the Lord.  You see, Katrina was a major storm and it had a profound effect on many people, and frankly, I don't write things frivolously on this blog.  I sometimes need confirmation from the Lord before I share things...and this is another such word.

So today is the 2nd of November and I've received 2 more words with very similar meanings.  I don't know about you, but when the Lord tells me something 3 times I pay attention.  Let me share the 2 other passages now:

"Woe to him who piles up stolen goods and makes himself wealthy by extortion!  How long must this go on?...Because  you have plundered many nations, the peoples who are left will plunder you.  For you have destroyed lands and cities and everyone in them."

"Woe to him who builds his realm by unjust gain to set his nest on high, to escape the clutches of ruin!  You have plotted the ruin of many peoples, shaming your own house and forfeiting your life....Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed and establishes a town by crime!...Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbors, pouring it from the wineskin till they are drunk, so that he can gaze on their naked bodies.  You will be filled with shame instead of glory.  Now it is  your turn!  Drink and be exposed!  The cup for the Lord's right hand is coming around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory....For you have shed man's blood; you have destroyed lands and cities and everyone in them."

And don't think lighting a little candle or kissing the hand of an idol will save you:

"Of what value is an idol, since a man has carved it?  Or an image that teaches lies?  For he who makes it trusts in his own creation; he makes idols that cannot speak....But the Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth be silent before Him."  Habakkuk 2:6-20.

"Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his countrymen work for nothing, not paying them for their labor.  He says, 'I will build myself a great palace with spacious upper rooms'.  So he makes large windows in it, panels it with cedar and decorates it in red.  Does it make you a king to have more and more cedar?  Did not your father have food and drink?  He did what was right and just, so all went well with him.  He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well.  Is that not what it means to know Me?" declares the Lord.

"But your eyes and your heart are set only on dishonest gain, on shedding innocent blood and on oppression and extortion."  Therefore, "He will have the burial of a donkey--dragged away and thrown outside the gates...I warned you when you felt secure, but you said, 'I will not listen!'  This has been your way from your youth; you have not obeyed Me.  The wind will drive all your shepherds away, and  your allies will go into exile.  Then you will be ashamed and disgraced because of all your wickedness."  Jeremiah 22:13-22.

In my heart I discern that this "windstorm" will be the strong hand of God sweeping up from the raging waves of the sea, like the many voices that are crying out to Him day and night for justice, protection, and life against corrupt Mexican law and government officials who continue to oppress, steal and extort, and kill innocent people in their greed for power, money, and status.  These wicked leaders work are in cahoots with the Mexican mafia, both in the US and Mexico, and they have nothing but other people's money and violence on their minds.  The Lord will begin to move mightily in their midst, tearing down their fortresses and bringing them to ruin.

"I will send destroyers against you, each man with his weapons, and they will cut up your fine cedar beams and throw them into the fire."  (Jeremiah 22:7).

I see the backbone of corruption, extending from central Mexico upward into the southwest US to the Rockies and Oklahoma being crushed and broken in places.  The wind of God will blow away their nice houses and make their lands desolate like a desert.  Praise the Lord!  Let the will of God be done on earth as it is in Heaven.   Amen

~Be blessed and be a blessing.
