Contract Nearly Finished

Greetings in the Lord!

Today's verse is from Isaiah 16, which talks about the fall of Moab. This passage has already been given by the Lord in regards to the conflict in Syria, as Syria is the "Moab" mentioned.  In fact, I did a search and saw that all of the words concerning Syria and the fall of Assad were given in April '11 & '13, June '11 & 12, and September '11 & 13.  Not sure why the Lord clumped them together like that, but I did notice from re-reading Isaiah 16 today that a time frame was given in the word: three years.

"This is the word the Lord has already spoken concerning Moab.  But now the Lord says: "Within three years, as a servant bound by contract would count them, Moab's splendor and all her many people will be despised, and her survivors will be very few and feeble."  Isaiah 16:13-14.

I wish I would've remembered that part of the verse when it was given back in April of 2011, as I did have some Syrian friends ask me, "When will the war be over?"  Well, I published a word the first week of November 2013 that talked about the Lord "causes wars to cease" and discerned that one of the things it was referring to was the conflict in Syria.  Amen!  It looks like a peace talk is finally scheduled for January 2014, so we pray that the Lord's will be done there.

Today I also noticed another interesting tidbit from Isaiah 16, verse 8:
"The fields of Heshbon wither, the vines of Sibmah also.  The rulers of the nations have trampled down the choicest vines, which once reached Jazer and spread toward the desert."
I'm not exactly sure how many nations are a part of the fight in Syria, but it is very interesting that the verse mentions it in the plural form.

Anyway, the word for today is that the peace talks in Syria are indeed in the works as the end of the three-year time frame in the prophetic word approaches fast.  Praise God for that!  I pray that the Lord's will be done in those talks, that, "In love a throne will be established; in faithfulness a man will sit on it--one from the house of David--one who in judging seeks justice and speeds the cause of righteousness."  Isaiah 16:5.

~Be blessed and be a blessing.
