Crashing Down From Your Lofty Perch

 Greetings in the Lord~

Today's word comes from the little book of Obadiah, verse 6 to be exact:

"Every nook and cranny of Edom will be searched and looted.  Every treasure will be found and taken." 

Hmmm...interesting.  On the heels of an illegal search and seizure of the previous President, this word comes to us today from the Lord.  

Whenever I get a word from the book of Obadiah, it reminds me of the dream I had a couple of months before the 2020 election.  It was a dream of corrupt decision-makers gathered together, high up on a rocky cliff side room overlooking the land.  You know, King Herod had a palace in the same location; high up on a rocky mountain, overlooking the valley below.  He thought he was invincible up there, just like the Edomites.  King Herod was a corrupt king, and so are those decision-makers from my dream.  They plotted an evil scheme to steal the election up there, and delighted in putting an old puppet in power so they could control him, to plunder the riches of the land through evil policies, insider contracts, and financial trading.  But the puppet and his cohorts should hear the words of the prophet Obadiah, for they ring true today as they did so long ago:

The Lord says to Edom: "I will cut you down to size among the nations; you will be greatly despised.  You have been deceived by your own pride because you live in a rock fortress and make your home high in the mountains.  'Who can ever reach us way up here?' you ask boastfully.  But even if you soar as high as eagles and build your nest among the stars, I will bring you crashing down," says the Lord.  

"If thieves came at night and robbed you (what a disaster awaits you!), they would not take everything.  Those who harvest grapes always leave a few for the poor.  But your enemies will wipe you out completely!  Every nook and cranny of Edom will be searched and looted.  Every treasure will be found and taken.  All your allies will turn against you.  They will help to chase you from your land.  They will promise you peace while plotting to deceive and destroy you.  Your trusted friend will set traps for you, and you won't even know about it."  Obadiah 2-7.

Yep, Biden shouldn't have agreed with the evil plotters to steal and corrupt the election process.  He shouldn't have delighted in the demise of the righteous, and looked to profit from the deceptive schemes of the wicked.  He shouldn't have dismissed his guilt in the demise of the nations, or sold the innocent into captivity for his own gain.  The puppet thinks more highly of himself than he ought, and he thinks he will be protected by the vipers he partnered with!  But make no mistake, they will turn against him.  All of his wicked counselors will plot against him and he will be despised and forgotten.  And the hand of the Lord will strike those wicked "wise" counselors and they will flee from the strong hand of the Lord.  The Lord is posed to strike a blow at the wicked decision-makers who plot evil plans from their lofty perches.  This is the word of the Lord for us today. Amen and amen.

I Have Faith

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word is from 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2: "Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith." Have you ever had a conversation with a non-believer and they say, "I have faith, just not in God," or something along those lines. I am surprised at how often I have heard that! Actually, the definition of faith also includes the characteristics of trust and loyalty, so faith is more like a relationship between beings rather than a trust in a belief system, laws of nature, or inanimate objects. So, what they mean to say is that they have put their trust in something or many things other than God. These misplaced trusts are what they rely on instead of the Lord. Strong Hand of the Lord Moving Now

Beware of Karen and the Nicolaitans

Greetings in the Lord~ Last week the Methodists as a denomination met at their General Conference in Charlotte, NC to discuss and vote on many matters, including the controversial topic of allowing actively practicing homosexual persons to be ordained as pastors.  The vote was pretty overwhelmingly in support of that issue. Not only that, but they decided that gay marriages can be performed by such clergy in Methodist churches that are agreeable to this taking place in their church.   Needless to say, this approval goes far beyond finding common ground and unity within the denomination, as it basically endorses a tenet that is not compatible with Scripture.  But maybe more importantly, it is a beginning of fulfillment of prophetic End Time warnings given all throughout the New Testament.   These warnings can be found most directly in the 2nd chapter of the book of Revelation in reference to the sect of the Nicolaitans.  These Nicolaitan "Christians" taught that it was OK to c
