Angels in Cable Cars

Greetings in the Lord! In light of the recent explosions to take place in Russia, I want to share a quick dream and prayer for the Winter Olympics that will be held in Sochi in February.  Last night in my dream, I was riding in a small glass cable car in a mountainous area.  It was a pretty way to transport around the sites, as it was more of a network of cable lines connecting venues rather than a particular single line.  All of the sudden there was a problem on the cable system and I had to jump off!  Luckily, my cable car was not so high above a small lake, so I jumped out of it and swam to safety.  However, as I walked through the store-lined, narrow streets, I saw lots of vendors displaying dying starfish, not real starfish, but fish shaped like stars!  I felt bad because they were suffocating from being out of the water and was mad that the vendors wouldn't put them in water to help them.  My understanding of the dream is that "soft" targets like the cable syst

Pursue Godliness in the Holy Spirit

Greetings in the Lord! Well, since Friday I've been pondering in my heart about the latest school shooting to happen in Colorado.  It does not surprise me that it happened 8 miles from Columbine High school, or about 10 miles from Aurora.  It does not surprise me that it happened at all, actually, as I've told my father three times in the past 6 weeks that I've had visions of a shooter entering in a school and a workout facility wanting to shoot people.  Those visions also reminded me of the time I lived in northern Michigan.  At that time at my workplace there was a fellow that just so happened to be a Wiccan.  He also had an evil spirit harassing him terribly, which he only admitted to me after I confronted him about it.  You see, I worked the night shift and followed this guy on duty and could often feel that nasty spirit around the workplace lingering, even after the guy left the building.   "Yeah, I got back into Wicca.  But it's no big deal," he sai

Fallen Rock Stars

Greetings in the Lord! I'm a Generation X-er, which basically means I grew up with what is now called "Classic Rock." I remember when John Bonham of Led Zeppelin died, and of the whole occult heyday prevalent in rock music at that time, and afterwards.  I remember my brother saying, "Let's play this record backwards and see if we can hear messages," and we'd spin it around counter-clockwise to hear weird, unintelligible noise.  I recall leafing through the guitar and heavy metal magazines that my brother got and crinkling my nose at all the dark, occult images that many bands used to promote themselves.  He would tell me of all the bands that worshipped Satan publicly, onstage at times, and of how they lived their lives offstage--drinking, drugging, orgies and the like, usually rounded out the picture.  It never appealed to me, but I used to wonder, "Why would they follow the devil?  That is asking for trouble."  It never occurred to my youn

Cleansing Wind Comes and Sweeps Away the Debris

Greetings in the Lord! Well, I wanted to post an update to a word that was given on Nov. 2nd, partly because I like to see when and how God fulfills His word (and I'm guessing that others are interested as well), and partly because it's important to acknowledge and give thanks to God!  Thank you, Lord, for being so faithful!  Your glory is seen in all the earth and we praise You. Amen. Anyway, the word on Nov. 2nd, was entitled, "God is a Mighty Tempest of Justice," and it had to do with God stirring up a cleansing wind off the coast of central-western Mexico.  This "wind" would deal a blow to the Mexican Mafia and cartels in those areas (and corrupt city officials partnering with them), going upwards into the southwestern parts of the US:    "In my heart I discern that this "windstorm" will be the strong hand of God sweeping up from the raging waves of the sea, like the many voices that are crying out to Him day and night for justice,

Word for 2014

Greetings in the Lord! At the end of the year most prophetic voices pray and ask God for a word about the next year, and then share it with the Church after they receive the word.  I, too, also do that.  Sometimes I've had to wait until the middle of January to receive the word, but this year, I've been receiving the word even before I fully understood and realized it was the word for next year!  And if you've been reading some of my recent publications, you already have an idea of what the next year will be like: giving birth!  Yes, the pain and preparation that we've been going through, the windstorms that have been clearing away all that we have relied on not of God, well, it is time for people to give birth!  Some are pregnant with the beautiful and amazing promises of God and they will sing for joy after the pain of birth has given way to God's little bundle for them!  Others are 'pregnant with evil', as the Scripture says, and they, too, will bring

2014 Blessings and Curses

Greetings in the Lord! I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday and were able to spend some time with their loved ones.  It is now a busy Monday, back to work and school, and the routines of life.  It is also a very windy, almost blustery day, here in the mountains.  That always means the weather will be changing dramatically in the near future.  On today's morning, I happen to believe it another prophetic reference to the word the Lord I shared early last month about winds blowing over the US.  There are several places in Scripture where the "winds" are called upon to blow through with the purposes of God.  'Winds' are used a couple ways in Scripture, but also an allegory of divine judgment or correction, or a trial sent by the Lord.  And if there is one thing I have learned over the years, it is that the spirit and natural realm are linked together, while the Spirit of the Lord opens the eyes of our hearts to discern His meaning.  So, as 2013 draws

Contract Nearly Finished

Greetings in the Lord! Today's verse is from Isaiah 16, which talks about the fall of Moab. This passage has already been given by the Lord in regards to the conflict in Syria, as Syria is the "Moab" mentioned.  In fact, I did a search and saw that all of the words concerning Syria and the fall of Assad were given in April '11 & '13, June '11 & 12, and September '11 & 13.  Not sure why the Lord clumped them together like that, but I did notice from re-reading Isaiah 16 today that a time frame was given in the word: three years. "This is the word the Lord has already spoken concerning Moab.  But now the Lord says: "Within three years, as a servant bound by contract would count them, Moab's splendor and all her many people will be despised, and her survivors will be very few and feeble."  Isaiah 16:13-14. I wish I would've remembered that part of the verse when it was given back in April of 2011, as I did have some S

Tree of Life

Greetings in the Lord! I teach sometimes in our adult Sunday school class, and this past weekend I had another such opportunity.  Our topic was: "Magic and Sorcery--Delightful or Dangerous?  How Christians should understand the popular book genre of sorcery and witchcraft."  The class mainly focused on the Harry Potter series, as that book series is currently  the most dangerous for the spiritual life of a Christian.  The big reason?  Rowling uses the names of real demons, actual spells, charms, and incantations, and follows authentic practices of Satanism, Wicca, and various other pagan traditions in her book series to weave her storyline.  By using these actual names and practices, she not only teaches the reader accurately about such elements, but each book becomes a portal for unclean and evil spirits to enter the "house" of the owner.  A curse comes upon that household immediately, and once those spirits come in, they begin right away to exercise demonic in

Like a Soaring Eagle, a Bird of Prey

Greetings in the Lord! This morning I had a dream where I was being shown all different types of drones--the unmanned flying aircraft popular these days with the Obama administration.  The man showing me these drones pointed out the varied weaponry on each, which included all types of guns and rocket launchers and telescopic lenses with tracking devices, and gave me a short briefing of each one's detailed purpose.  I was amazed that there was such a variety; each for a specific assignment.  Some of the drones had other technology as well, but mostly these were for attack, locating targets, and intercepting communications.  In short, they were very expensive model airplanes used for surveillance and offensive military assignments.  Well, after a vivid dream I usually Google online and see what's happening in the news, as most often it is related.  Sure enough, I came across this article today: http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/drones-american-skies-airliners/2013/11/08/id/5

He Makes Wars Cease...

Greetings in the Lord! Well, I wrote not too long ago from 2 Samuel 3, about how the war between the house of Saul and the house of David lasted a long time...and people wrote back to me confirming that their "war" was indeed taking a long time!  Yes, many of us are tired and weary from battling against the schemes of the devil these past months, and even though we know we are growing stronger in the Lord because of our trials, we still can't help but to pray at times, "Lord, are we there yet?" Well, today's word is one of encouragement.  It is from Psalm 46, and the verses that speak so loudly to me today are 9-11: He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear, He burns the shields with fire.  "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.   Praise God for that!  For truly, Go

God Is a Mighty Tempest of Justice

Greetings in the Lord! This morning I turned to Isaiah 3, a passage that was given in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.  It is quite descriptive and accurate for that storm, even citing what would take place in the days and weeks that followed.  So, naturally as I read that again this morning I was wondering, "Is another storm coming?"  And the answer that I discern in my heart is "Yes.  Another cleansing wind comes." Immediately I saw a map of the western coast of Mexico and the United States and saw a huge swirling mass to the west of these lands.  It moved from the central through the northwest part of Mexico and into parts of California, Arizona, New Mexico and continued up through Colorado and over to Texas, Oklahoma, and beyond. Isaiah 3:10) "Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.  Woe to the wicked!  Disaster is upon them!  They will be paid back for what their hands have done." Her Name is Irshad Manji

Greetings in the Lord! Recently the Lord has drawn my attention to a woman I'd never heard of before, but one that is causing quite a stir in the Muslim world.  Her name is Irshad Manji, a Canadian author and human rights activist.  She is also a practicing Muslim and lesbian.  For her most recent book, "Allah, Liberty, and Love," I watched an online video clip of radical Islam jihadists storming her book signing in Holland and shouting death threats and insults at her.  The Dutch in attendance, non and Muslim alike, made a human shield around her so they could not hurt her physically.  That was in 2011.  Fast forward to another book signing in Indonesia in 2012.  She and her assistants and others in the crowd were attacked and injured by a mob of violent Islamists.  Wow, really?  An angry group of Muslims trying to use violence to stamp out differing viewpoints?  Never heard of that before. ! OK, all sarcasm aside, I can't begin to imagine what life must be like f

God is a Mighty Fortress

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Ezekiel 37-39 and Psalm 68.  The theme--God routs the united enemies of Israel and shows Himself mighty!  So, to begin today's word, we start at the end of Ezekiel 37, where God promises to unite Israel's two nations, which at that time were, simply put, the northern kingdom called Ephraim, and the southern kingdom of Judah.  God promised to restore them into one country again and bless them, and "then the nations will know that I the Lord make Israel holy, when My sanctuary is among them forever."  Well, needless to say, this promise was fulfilled with the founding of the modern nation-state of Israel in 1948.  Nearly a two thousand year old prophecy fulfilled!  As we continue reading in Ezekiel 38, we see that just as Israel is to be united, so the enemies of Israel will come together to make an alliance against Israel.  Well, that is obviously the time period we are in today.  More specifically, in today'

The Deep Well of Salvation

Greetings in the Lord! Ever feel like the struggles at hand will not go away?  That you've been dealing with, and contending with, and seeking God's help for trials with the enemy that seem to just keep on lingering, and lingering, and lingering...yep, me, too.  Warring and holding your ground in the midst of adversity can make one very weary.  It's been a long, contentious year so far, and guess what?  We still have a couple more months to go! ;)  Well, we will make it, by the help of God, we will make it.  And I can't tell you how often when I'm in the middle of such a season of struggle, or an "assignment" that pits me against a stronghold, if you will, that I get the Scripture for today: "The war between the house of Saul and the house of David lasted a long time.  David grew stronger and stronger, while the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker."  2 Samuel 3:1 David's struggle with the house of Saul was a long, drawn out, series of

He Who Digs the Pit Falls in It

Greetings in the Lord! I wrote a while back about the rather aggressive season we are in this year--the enemies of God are plotting and moving against His people in very hostile ways, and that God is on the offensive as well!  Praise the Lord!  He rides His white horse into battle and "Victory" is His banner! Well, along those lines comes today's word from the book of Esther, chapters 5-7, where the deceitful and scheming "vile" Haman finally gets his--and that, on the gallows he built for Mordecai!  You will recall that in chapter 3, Haman had bribed King Xerxes with a very large sum of money to have the king issue an edict to rid his kingdom of "a people whose customs are different and do not obey the king's laws."  Of course, he doesn't mention who these people are, but quickly offers a huge amount of money to bribe the king....and is successful.  The edict is spread all throughout the kingdom that on a certain day the people of God wer

The Bread of Life

Greetings in the Lord! Do you ever get those verses that no matter how many times you read them, the meaning just seems to elude you?  The best is when you run it by someone else and they get it right off the bat, and you just stand there feeling really dim.  Yeah, sometimes it's like that. "All man's efforts are for his mouth, yet his appetite is never satisfied."  Ecclesiastes 6:7 Now, I bet you got that right away, didn't you?  Well, I had to look up other translations to see more about it....and I got this. "All people spend their lives scratching for food, but they never seem to have enough."   and this: "Every person works for his own self-interests, but his desires remain unsatisfied."   By then I had gotten the meaning and the cross reference from John 6:26-27 that I have been reading over the past couple of months: Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, you are looking for me, not because you saw

Wisdom Cries Out

Greetings in the Lord! This week as I watched yet more news stories of young males causing trouble with their arrogant and foolish behaviors--even in the faces of law enforcement and court officials--I was lead to read from the book of Proverbs about "foolish sons."  "A wise servant will rule over a disgraceful son, and will share the inheritance as one of the brothers."  Proverbs 17:2 "A foolish son brings grief to his father and bitterness to the one who bore him."             Proverbs 17:25 "To have a fool for a son brings grief; there is no joy for the father of a fool."  Proverbs 17:21 "An evil man is bent only on rebellion; a merciless official will be sent against him."      Proverbs 17:11 There is an epidemic of foolishness, violent and arrogant, in our younger population today.  And don't think I am only pointing to young males--no way!  Young women can be just as foolish, acting as prideful and vulgar as any m

Removed and Peace at Last

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Isaiah 57, and I will say that it is a rather stern word that also sheds light on the sometimes difficult ways of the Lord.  Difficult, in that we tend to think of God's mercy in gentle, soothing ways, and not necessarily in the way presented here. "The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.  Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death."  (verses 1-2) Death is God's mercy?  Well, when their present situation is too wicked too bear any longer, and no good person has the power to intervene and the whole lot of those in control are corrupt and wicked and still can inflict suffering on their victims, then, I guess, death would be a merciful act.  But still, it's kind of hard to imagine such a scenario, but in Isaiah 57:1-2 God's word tells us th

The Wise Steward

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from the book of Proverbs--my favorite book of the Bible.  It has short bits of wisdom, easy to understand, but when applied appropriately, can pack quite a punch in its truth!  Like today's topic: the wisdom of being a good steward. "One man pretends to be rich, yet has nothing; another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth."  Proverbs 13:7 "Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant than pretend to be somebody and have no food."  Proverbs 12:9 "The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception."  Proverbs 14:8 Each of these proverbs is a little different take on the foolishness of trying to be something you're not: either so rich that you don't have a care in the world and waste your money, or so poor that you have an easy excuse for being stingy, or so smart that you don't heed using common sense.  It's foolishness to not live w
