Britain First, America Second

Greetings in the Lord! Over the past couple of days the Lord has directed my attention over to the UK, specifically to the Britain First organization and to the Rotherham child abuse scandal that went public in August.  For those of you who don't know, Britain First is a group whose self-declared mission is to stir up patriotism amongst Britons to counter and verbally challenge the anti-British rhetoric and Sharia Law imposition of radical Muslims in England.  While this group is becoming quite popular in social media, they have turned some fellow Britons off with their intimidating "Christian patrols," which is meant to counter the "Muslim patrols," and by entering mosques to "talk" and evangelize to Muslims.  Their actions have been seen as too aggressive for the average British person, and wholly unwelcomed by most British Muslims, rightfully so.  Can you imagine if a Muslim went into our church and started proselytizing?  We would be annoyed.

Boundless Love of God

Greetings in the Lord! The most interesting thing about prophetic words regarding nations and current events is patiently watching for them to come to pass.  You never know how they will be fulfilled, or who God will chose to carry it out, but when a headline or story is published confirming the fulfillment of the Lord's word, it truly is a time to acknowledge and give thanks to God...even if it is a word of God's judgment, because ultimately, we know that mercy triumphs over judgment and God has a redemptive plan at the end of it all.  Restoration is God's calling card!  It is with that premise that I want to share with you a wonderful word that has come to pass in the country of Albania.  This week I was reading an article from The Christian Century magazine, a regular column called, "Notes from the Global Church," written by Philip Jenkins.  In his article he tells about the amazing work of Anastasios, the archbishop of Tirana and superior of the Autoce

Pray for Godly Counsel

Greetings in the Lord! A couple days ago while in prayer I saw a vision of a very large tree.  I was reminded of Daniel 2, the passage on Nebuchadnezzar's dream of a large tree.  He was that tree, and he saw that while the massive tree was great and provided shelter and fruit for all who came to it, the Lord cut that tree down because of his pride. In my vision, the tree was not cut down, but rather, had a huge hole in it where upon a large owl sat.  The hole was deep into the tree, near to where the trunk began to divide into giant branches.  I wondered about that hole, how did it get so deep?  Was it killing the tree?  The owl was near hidden in that dark hole and it did not seem to be a good thing--it was an unclean bird, a counterfeit of true wisdom.  I discerned that the tree was the United States and that the owl represented ungodly, conventional wisdom that was guiding and hiding in the tree. The passages the Lord gave me was from Malachi 4:1-2 and Jeremiah 13. "

A Scorching Wind Will Be Their Lot

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Psalm 11: In the Lord I take refuge.  How then can you say to me: "Flee like a bird to your mountain.  For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.  When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?" The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord is on His heavenly throne.  He observes the sons of men; His eyes examine them.  The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence His soul hates. On the wicked He will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot. For the Lord is righteous, He loves justice; upright men will see His face. I received this Psalm all summer, when Iraqi Christians were indeed fleeing from Muslim extremists to a mountain for safety.  They were besieged on that mountain for at least ten days without water, food, or shelter before help could get

When the Waters Rise, I'll Be With You

Greetings in the Lord! "All this I have told you so that you will not go astray...in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.  They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me." John 16:1-3 I remember a few years ago being sent to Germany to give a number of prophetic words to people and to decree that the "Mystery of Persecution" was coming to the German Church.  In essence, God chooses whom He will to suffer for His namesake, but the reward of growing deeper and closer to Jesus is worth it!  Likewise, last March I went to Holland and France and also decreed that the Lord's presence was going to come upon His people there and they would grow stronger in the Lord and hot with His words in their bellies.  The Lord also showed me their many foes in the spirit realm--I had never seen European cities so dark!  If you are not aware of the current struggles going on in Europe regarding Islam

Urgent Prayer Request

Greetings in the Lord! It's not very often, in fact, I can't think of another time when the Lord has put a call to intercede so urgently upon my heart as now.  I would ask all prayer warriors to pray from today (September 9th) until Rosh Hashanah (September 25th) these Psalms daily.  Just read them straight through: Psalm 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, and 16 (and others you feel led to read) You might notice that these psalms have a particular theme--calling upon God to protect His people, but in a very specific way: by returning upon their own heads the curses and ungodly prayers being spoken against us.  Yes, it's true.   One thing the American media is not informing us about the ISIS aggression is the spiritual side of it--they are praying 5 times a day curses upon our nation, our soldiers, our government , our news journalists/reporters , and anyone that dares to post online condemning the rise of ISIS.  The ISIS supporter who posted two grisly photos of a dead American sol

Elijah Comes to Restore All Things

Greetings in the Lord! There have been different periods of time where the Lord has led me to read Matthew 17, usually just the beginning verses 1-13 regarding the transfiguration of Jesus.  And I must admit, I've grappled with the deeper meaning of that passage.  On the surface, it's clear that Jesus' earthly form changes into resplendent light of the divine before the disciples, and he talks with Moses and Elijah.  But there are three versions of this story: Matthew includes a short passage about the coming of Elijah, i.e. John the Baptist and his death, Luke emphasizes the coming death and resurrection of Jesus, and Mark is a simplistic combination of both passages.  Then, all three go on with a story about the disciples not being able to drive a demon out of a boy.  Jesus cites their deficiency of faith and absence prayer (and fasting, in some translations)--then drives the demon out.  Chapter 17 in Matthew ends with another miracle story of a fish providing a four-d

Blessing in Unity, Blessed are the Peacemakers

Greetings in the Lord! It has been a very eventful summer for me, and busy, too.  I will start by giving some of the key points that must be acted upon and intensely prayed through by the Body of Christ. It began in mid-May, when I released the word about fire brands coming from Western Europe and central and western Africa to the United States.  Little fires of hate-oriented violence did begin to pop up all along our coasts and some in the interior of the US.  The firebrands I saw were fires of hatred being prayed upon our nation by our enemies who want to see our downfall.  5 times a day they pray for violence, destruction, disunity, and collapse of our land.  Those who are sensitive to the Spirit have probably been feeling these attacks but maybe not discerning exactly the who, what, where and when of them.  Praying curses upon one's enemies are a very big part of war for many nations, especially for those who follow Islam.  And unless you've been living under a rock

We Will Come Out of the Fiery Furnace

Greetings in the Lord! It's been awhile since I've last written but suffice to say that it has been anything but inactive for me.  Lots of spiritual warfare to deal with and may I just say to all who are with me on this--press in, beloveds!  We are the forerunners, the watchmen who see danger coming and announce it to the people.  So naturally, we often experience hard times before they come to the body of Christ as a whole.  So, be encouraged even as I am still, that we can learn from our ordeals and share them with the body of Christ for their strengthening. First, the fires that the Lord showed me in a vision in May coming to the US have been lighting up, unnoticed by many, just as He said.  So, how can we begin to recognize these "fires" and what do we do about it?  These are seemingly random acts of very violent behaviors--hate crimes--that we've been reading about in the news that are specifically directed towards people in authority (police), certain r

Clearing Away the Stones in the Path

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Isaiah chapters 42-44.  The imagery early in this passage includes the Lord clearing a way through a rough, dry landscape for weary travelers to pass through.  It is reminiscent of the time they spent in the wilderness where the Lord not only lead and provided for the Israelites, but He also shaped and formed and taught them to be a nation following the dictates of His heart.  On Sunday I prayed for a woman at church and while I prayed for her I saw this same imagery in a vision.  Naturally, at the time I thought it was for her personally, but now I realize that it was a corporate vision--God is clearing out our paths and leading us into our "Promised Lands", so to speak.  But to truly understand the word for today, you have to read those chapters together, then you will realize that this passage talks about a nation that has become "blind" and "deaf" because of their own rebellious ways---sometimes

Lift Your Heads from the Sand and Gain Wisdom

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Jeremiah 28-29.  Both of those chapters have Jeremiah confronting the false prophetic voices of his day, the ones who were preaching "peace and prosperity" instead of facing the true moral decline of the leaders and people at that time--and who would not acknowledge the eminent danger of the approaching Babylonians as a result of their sins.  These were men who were not consulting the Lord in any way, shape, or form, but rather, tenaciously holding onto the status quo--because they were favored in this system; pure selfishness for their motives.  So they preached lies with all their might to persuade and deceive the people and tried to come against Jeremiah to silence him....to no avail.  Babylon came and the word of the Lord was fulfilled. You know, the challenging and oft interesting thing about being a prophetic voice of any era is the resistance that will sometimes rise up against the word of the Lord.  Oh, there a

Swept Away, by the Broom of God

Greetings in the Lord! The past several weeks I've been led to read from Isaiah chapter 14.  It is a hopeful message to those that love the Lord, that though they have been oppressed harshly by the "oppressor", God is turning the tables on the situation.  "The Lord will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and will settle them in their own land....Nations will take them and bring them to their own place." Isaiah 14:1-2. However, the majority of the chapter does not highlight the restoration and deliverance of Israel, but rather, talks about the "oppressor" and of their coming defeat.  "How the oppressor has come to an end!  How his fury has ended!  The Lord has broken the rod of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers, which in anger struck down peoples with unceasing blows, and in fury subdued nations with relentless aggression." With violence and cruelty the oppressor of the land exerts force over the innocent

Cloud by Day, Fire by Night

Greetings in the Lord! How many people know what it is to try and help someone that really isn't sold on their freedom yet?  You know, they complain all day long and you can clearly see their oppression, but  ultimately, when you try to help them they resist you; they get stubborn and shift their complaining from against their captors to you!  Some thanks, huh? Well, today's word comes from Exodus 17 and it is basically about this topic:  Moses being sent to deliver the Israelites from their cruel bondage only to have them turn on him in the desert when they become thirsty.  Kind of reminds me of when I was in Russia.  For years the people suffered under the oppression of Communism, yet, now that they've been living in "freedom" from that they reminisce about the "security" and "prestige" of the old Communist days.  They would tell me, "At least under Communism you had a job and would get a salary--we aren't guaranteed of anythi

The Lion Has Roared

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from Psalm 83 & Amos 3 and has an accompanying vision for added clarity. "O God, do not keep silent; be not quiet, O God, be not still.  See how Your enemies are astir, how Your foes rear their heads.  With cunning they conspire against Your people; they plot against those You cherish.  "Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation, that their name be remembered no more." With one mind they plot together, they form an alliance against You---the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagarites, Gebal, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre.  Even Assyria has joined them to lend strength to the descendants of Lot." "Do to them as You did to Midian, as You did to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon, who perished at Endor and became like refuse on the ground.  Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna, who said, "Let us tak

Proclaim Freedom for the Captives

Greetings in the Lord! Well, it's May and that means graduation time for all the high school and university seniors out there--congratulations!  It also means a busy travel time for their families wishing them well, and that is what I've been doing...106 degrees in Tucson, AZ by the way, but what a lovely commencement in the UA stadium.  Thank you Lord, for blessing this nation with wonderful schools of higher education....it's great to see more and more foreign nationals coming here as well, as it creates an amazing diversity on our campuses and enriches the whole learning process.  Amen. Well, today's word comes from Exodus 6 and Psalms 66.  In the Exodus passage, Moses had just gone to Pharaoh to give him the word of God: 'Let My people go;' and Pharaoh responds by making the plight of the Israelites worse, by increasing their work load and abusing them harshly.  The Israelite leaders get angry with Moses because of this, and everyone becomes more dis

Come Again Under His Protective Wing

Greetings in the Lord! From time to time the Lord will put a public person on my heart to pray for them, and on a few occasions He will give an accompanying dream or vision that sheds more light on why I would be praying for them.  I would like to share one such person, one of the few that I've had more than one vision of over the years. In the 2001-2002 time frame, I recall having a very vivid dream of Vladimir Putin.  In the dream I visited him in his large, dark wood office.  He was distressed about the state of affairs in Russia and what to do about them.  I talked to him at length about his faith in God and encouraged him that God was indeed watching over how he conducted himself, and "if you choose to do what is right, choosing what is just in God's eyes, God will protect and prosper you."   He was so moved by that prophetic promise that he got up from his leather chair and came around his great desk to kneel before me and ask that I pray for him.  I laid

God is Present in the Long Night for the Nigerian "Girls"

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word come from James 3 and Psalms 57.  Put together it is a prophetic word about how worldly wisdom can act as a "sword" and a "spear" to bring about destruction instead of true wisdom. "Who is wise and understanding among you?  Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.  But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.  Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil.  For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and every evil practice."  James 3:13-16. So we can understand that those who have "selfish ambition" on their minds and "bitter envy" in their hearts quite often construct a worldly "wisdom" to justify and promote their own causes....and they will attract like-minded individuals, too, as '

Like an Olive Tree Flourishing in the House of God

Greetings in the Lord! Today's word comes from 2 Peter 3, Psalm 53 & Psalm 52.  The main theme from these passages of Scripture is about the foolish and arrogant unbelief of God by the wicked, who, because they don't recognize God's patience with them as His mercy and take advantage of the time to turn away from their evil deeds, they continue on to their own destruction.  Meanwhile, the righteous continue to pursue wholesome thinking, holy living, and reap the blessings of our Lord and Savior who hears and answers their petitions.  Amen "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'  They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good. God looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.  Everyone has turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. Will the evildoers never learn--those who devour My people as men eat bread and who do

Victory--The Truth Will Set You Free

Greetings in the Lord! Today's words come from 2 Samuel 8 and Isaiah 11.  You know, I never cease to be amazed at how the Holy Spirit will lead me to read two very different passages of Scripture to make a point about something, or to emphasize the importance of a word to me if I really didn't 'get it' the first time around! ha  Yeah, I'm like every other Christian that way, sometimes it takes me a while, too, to know what God is saying.  Anyway, 2 Samuel 8 is a great passage talking about all of the victories David had over his enemies--the Philistines, the Ammonites, the Arameans, the Moabites, the Edomites, the Amalekites, and more that are not even mentioned in this chapter, like all of his own personal enemies--the house of Saul and his associates.  David had spent the better part of his young through adult life in battle against enemies and now the Bible talks about victory; subduing his enemies, taking plunder and increasing the kingdom under his rule.

Pray for the Well-Known Prodigals

Greetings in the Lord! Last night I was reading and turned to Ezra chapters 4-6.  Those are some interesting chapters because they are governmental letters written during that time, one between the officials of the Trans-Euphrates to King Artaxerxes, the Persian king, and his reply; and one from Tattenai, a later governor of the Trans-Euphrates region to King Darius, and his reply.  Both letters concern the rebuilding of the temple and city of Jerusalem. You see, previously, King Cyrus had decreed that Jerusalem's temple and city be rebuilt, complete with the return of the temple's equipment from Babylon and building materials to be provided for the completion of the work.  But of course, Israel's neighbors opposed the rebuilding process and over time wickedly persuaded King Artaxerxes to stop the construction.  It wasn't until the reign of King Darius that officials were able to reverse that decision by exposing the original rebuilding decree of King Cyrus.  Ame
